WEISS DIRECTOR’S NOTE A radio newscaster in Colin Speer Crowley's Fifteen Men in a Smoke-filled Room: about today’s headlines.

"Yes, ladies and gentlemen - another day, another scandal! It seems like nothing can prevent further improprieties from staining President Harding and his administration prior to this years midterm elections. The blazing spotlight of impropriety has now focused its glare on Attorney General Harry M. Daugherty.... Congressmen from both parties can only wonder if there will be an end to the wide- spread corruption sweeping the nation's capital...."

This broadcast happened in the early twenties during Warren G. Harding's term of office. If these words sound familiar now, wel- come to the World of President Harding and the infamous Teapot Dome Scandal. Political pundits thought the United States would never be in a worse political state. Watch this riveting play and draw your own conclusions. — Jules Aaron THE CAST
