•The First District Mineral Foundation Trust, Kurnool meeting was conducted on 30.05.2016.

Total 34.83 49.1 32.06 116.01 ❖ With the Co-Ordination of the Governing Counsel members under the Chairmanship of Collector and District Magistrate, Kurnool the identification and sanction of Schemes / Projects are undertaken on High Priority and Other Priority areas there are total 2965 number of works have been sanctioned and in which 480 works have been completed and remaining 1716 works are under progress . Education Sector

✓ Apart from construction of CC Roads, School Compound walls additional class rooms, Permanent/Temporary Drinking water schemes, Some of the important works undertaken by the District Mineral Foundation Trust, Kurnool are as follows:

✓ Setting up of Virtual Class Rooms (VCRs) : 299 for Rs.13.35 Crores in Zilla Parishad High Schools, Model Schools, Govt. Junior Colleges. Education Sector

✓ The Virtual class Rooms improved the learning skills of the Students. Further the migration of students from Private/Corporate Schools to Govt. Schools is increased to a tune of 19,006 and the District ranked 3rd Place in the State.

In comparison with the last year’s enrollment, there is an improvement in enrollment is 13,151. Education Sector

✓ 49 Additional Class Rooms with an estimate cost of Rs.394.30 Lakhs; Major Repairs in 43 Schools with an estimate cost of Rs.64.70 lakhs and Electrification of 184 Schools with an estimate cost of Rs.134.58 Lakhs, 10% Contribution to Toilets to Schools under ODF Action Plan 1317 with an estimate cost of Rs.263.40 Lakhs have been taken up under DMF Funds. The gross enrolment has increased to 106 %

✓ Supply of 18000 copies of study material (Vijaya Deepika) both in English and Telugu Medium provided to 10th class students in Government, Zilla Parishad, PMS and Aided schools for improvement of SSC Results in March 2019 in Kurnool District under DMF amount of Rs.16.20 Lakhs. Education Sector

✓In the year 2017-18, District Secondary Education specialists have designed apt material of 14500 books a worth of Rs.13,05,000/- and also free supply of Revision Test Question papers a worth of Rs.6,95,000/- altogether the sum of Twenty Lakhs rupees. Which helped a lot to find growth of result to 96.12% in March,2018 which ranked 6th place in the State. ✓Total 1,24,266 Essential English Grammar book supplied to 1,24,266 Class 6th, 7th & 8th studying students in Government schools. Total of books is Rs.1.87 Crores. Education Sector

✓Total 563 units of “Scientific Moving Globe” supplied to all KGBVs , High Schools and Model Schools in the district. Total cost is Rs.27.92 Lakhs. Which help students to arrive at a clear understanding of seasons as they investigate the connections between the Sun and Earth. Women & Child Welfare Department

✓ 10% Contribution to 1004 Toilets to Anganwadi Centres under ODF Action Plan with a estimate cost of Rs.30.12 Lakhs were taken up.

✓ Electrification of 1034 Anganwadi Centres for an amount of Rs. 17,23,270 under DMF fund in mining affected areas is taken up and the children and their parents are feeling comfort and the enrollment is improved in Anganwadi centres.

✓ Completion of incomplete Anganwadi centres 6 No’s 12 lakhs Women & Child Welfare Department

✓ Unique initiative – ‘Korra Payasam’ (Foxtile porridge)- it is a mixture of cooked Foxtail millets, jaggery and milk by vesting funds from District mineral fund. Target women: Anemic pregnant women who is below 10 hb percentage on pilot basis. Number of pregnant women covered: 1724 Malnourished children: 85 Quantity provided per day: 200 ml per day. ICDS Projects covered: rural(226 AWCS) Alur(234 AWCs) and 42 Chenchugudems of ITDA . Amount granted under DMF : Rs. 8,91,120.00 Women & Child Welfare Department

Out Come Anemia levels reduced from 85 percent to 62.5 percent Maternal deaths reduced from 39 (last quarter of 2017-18) to 11 Infant deaths reduced from 217 ( last quarter of 2017-18 )to 142 Wasting reduced from 2.61% - 1.85% Under weight from 2.1% - 1.85% Stunting reduced from 25.79% - 18.05% RURAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION DEPARTMENT

❖The rural areas of Kurnool District is having 1503 habitations with population of 2980326 (as per 2011 census)

❖The drinking water needs of the rural areas are catered by 12135 pumps, 2957 PWS/MPWS Schemes and 56 CPWS Schemes.

❖Due to deficit rainfall in the district about 1001 hand pumps are dried up during this year.

❖The scheme sources of the PWS Schemes are also dried up due to deficit rainfall.

❖The alternative measures like transportation of water, hiring of private sources, flushing of bore wells and deepening of bore wells are being taken up to mitigate the drinking water needs of rural areas. RURAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION DEPARTMENT

❖ Since it is not a permanent measure, in Problematic and stressed habitations minor nature of works were taken up under DMF Grant like: a) Augmentation of Schemes by providing Pumpsets and pipelines, Repairs to Pumpsets, Replacement of Pumpsets, Energization of schemes, Replacement of old damaged pipelines. b) Augumentation of scheme sources by drilling of Borewells.

❖ Under DMF Grant total 997 works were taken up in 680 Habitations in 46 Mandals with an Estimate cost of Rs:2947.91 lakhs out of these a) Augumentation works : 141 works were takenup with cost Rs: 2079.21 Lakhs. b) Augumentation of Sources:856 works were taken up with cost Rs: 868.70 Lakhs RURAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION DEPARTMENT

❖ Earlier during 2017-18 transportation of drinking water taken up in 69 habitations and in 7 habitations, hiring of private bore wells was taken up to mitigate the drinking water scarcity. By Taking up the above works under DMF 680 habitations in 46 Mandals covering 10,48,326 population were benefitted with sufficient drinking water and reduced the number of stressed habitations and the transportation of drinking water habitations have come down to 16.

❖ R.O. Plants have been installed in 73 Social Welfare Hostels in the District under DMF for an amount of 127.75 Lakhs. The Hostellers are benefitted with the protected drinking water. PANCHAYAT RAJ SECTOR

✓ Several Infrastructure facilities like providing connectivity to the unconnected habitations, providing internal CC roads, Completion of incomplete Anganwadi Centres, Gram Panchayath Buildings, Gopala Mitra Buildings, Community halls, Tahsildar Office buildings and Mandal Mahila Samakhya buildings are taken up and completed in Kurnool District under 100 % D.M.F Grant. ✓ In addition to the above, huge number of Pucca Internal CC roads were constructed under MGNREGS programme in convergence with D.M.F Grant in the Kurnool District.

✓Sanction of 629 CC Roads for Rs.92.91 Crores. DMF Works in Panchayat Raj Circle, Kurnool

✓ Installation of 3 new Transformers for distribution of water for Lift Irrigation Scheme for 1145 acres under DMF with an estimate cost of 12.32 lakhs of Ayakat benefiting 432 Small and marginal farmers in 1. Nadhikairawadi 2. Banthanahal 3. Chintakunta Villages.

✓ Shifting of 9 Nos. Electrical Lines which are passing over the houses in SC Colonies for for an amount of Rs.22.83 Lakhs in the Mining areas and 75 SC families were benefitted.

✓ Construction of Mini Indoor Stadium at E.Thandrapadu- under DMF amount 15.00 lakhs benefiting the Sports talent of the rural youth and school students in 6 surrounding villages. Other works

✓ Supply of Medical equipments for Maternity and children’s block at Government General Hospital, Kurnool -DMF amount sanctioned Rs.66.87 Lakhs. Since the Medical equipment and beds and other infrastructure is provided, the capacity to accommodate the In patients in the MCH Block is increased and the MMR and IMR is decreased.

✓ Sanction of an amount of Rs.12.78 lakhs for supply of “Chaduvukundam Part-I” one lakh copies for Non-Literate women in Adult Education centers benefitting 5000 Non- literate women to become literate.

✓ 2.10 Kms. Length of BT Road (R&B Dept.,) with an estimate cost of Rs.697.00 Lakhs sanctioned for road connectivity. The works are going on. Thank you
