Bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish accent and a show so hot it carries its own health warning. The quality of the entertaining characters does not stop with their talents as musical actors, as their good humour is real and very contagious. Joyfully transgressing taboos, they attack the classics with an iconoclastic, unparalleled fervor and a virtuosity that leaves you fascinated. Dressed in the kilt of rigor, these accomplished musicians celebrate in hilarious style within the discipline of Scottish music. In two years and a first concert in front of 50,000 spectators at the Festival des Vieilles Charrues (France), two albums and a European tour, the Celtic Social Club entered the huge realm of world music concerts. An energetic and perfect synthesis between tradition, rock, reggae, dub and hip-hop. Their repertoire infuses a heavenly therapy of old Celtic melodies gleaned in Brittany, Ireland, Scotland and Asturies. The Celtic Social Club have quite simply exploded the barriers of genres and styles. And so the Celtic Social Club arrives from Brittany with a rather envious line-up: Jimme O’Neill (The Silencers), Manu Marko (Red Cardell), Ronan The Bars (uilleann pipes), Pierre Stephan (violin), Richard Puaud (bass), Mathieu Péquériau (harps)… / www.celticsocialclub.com THE PAPERBOYS Celtic Mexican Music Club For 20 years (and 10 albums), The Paperboys have made their unique sound in the landscape of Celtic music. And this unique sound is no coincidence: Tom Landa, leader of the band, in addition to his voice that would melt anyone, claims Mexican roots. Add to this the Irish, Scottish and Latin American origins of the other members of the group, and you get a cocktail that will set you alight! One of the favourite groups of the Zeltik. / www.paperboys.com CÚIG Cutting edge Irish music! The future of Irish Trad. Cúig means quintet in Welsh. This young group brings us fresh winds full of energy. They’ve been playing together for 5 years, bringing both maturity and youth to their music. Known in their country by almost everyone, their music is simultaneously inspired by the traditions Scottish, Welsh, and even American sounds. Public enthusiasm, and that of music professionals, promises them a long career full of originality! Another peculiarity of the group: no member was born when the 1st Zeltik Festival took place. The future of Celtic music belongs to them. / www.cuigmusic.com COBBLESTONES Folkaholic: Irish, Scottish & more Want to dance? It’s this group you need!
