Prayer of St. Joseph Hail Joseph the just, wisdom is with you; blessed are you among all men and blessed is , the fruit of Mary, your faithful spouse.

Holy Joseph, worthy foster-father of Jesus Christ, pray for us sinners and obtain divine wisdom for us from God, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

On December 8, 2020, proclaimed a special “Year of Saint Joseph,” extending to the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, 2021.

In a new Apostolic Letter entitled Patris Corde (“With a Father’s Heart”), Pope Francis marks the 150th anniversary of Blessed Pope Pius IX’s declaration of Saint Joseph as a Patron of the Universal Church, describing him as a model father and a support and guide for troubled times.

PENITENTIAL RITE

Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do.

And, striking their breast, they say: Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault;

Then they continue: Therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

LAMB OF GOD Mass of Creation M. Haugen

INVITATION TO COMMUNION

Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

COMMUNION

At this time, we invite those celebrating at home to make a Spiritual Communion:

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen. 8

Communion Worthy is the Lamb R. Manalo

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive honor and glory. Worthy are the ones who believe to receive the goodness of God.

Worthy are you, O Paschal Lamb. Wisdom and strength belong now to you. You laid down your life and died upon the cross: we've become a people of hope.

Worthy are you, O Bread of Life. Salvation and joy belong now to us. By conquering death and rising to new life, we've become a people of praise.

Worthy are you, O Risen Christ. Wonders and signs, revealing your might. Your power and glory shine upon our lives: we've become your light for the world.

Communion Healing River of the Spirit Beach Spring

Healing river of the Spirit, Bathe the wounds that living brings. Plunge our pain, our sin, our sadness Deep beneath your sacred springs. Weary from the restless searching That has lured us from your side, We discover in your presence Peace the world cannot provide.

Wellspring of the healing Spirit, Stream that flows to bring release, As we gain our selves our senses, May our lives reflect your peace. Grateful for the flood that heals us, May your church enact your grace. 9

As we meet both friend and stranger, May we see our Savior’s face.

Living stream that heals the nations, Make us channels of your pow’r. All the world is torn by conflict; Wars are raging at this hour. Saving Spirit, move among us, Guide our winding human course, Till we find our way together, Flowing homeward to our Source.

Communion To Live with Him Forever S. Hart & R. Feduccia

We are the wheat, we are the bread; our lives we bring as offering. And as the grain, we’re crushed by trials yet bound by healing water. The fruit of vine, the work of hands, the cup of love’s endeavor: we place before the Son of Man to live with him forever.

From wood and thorn the call comes forth to join in his own suffering. And as the Spirit on us falls we share his glorious rising. We taste of his true body now, we drink his blood surrendered for us with mercy unreserved to live with him forever.

And to the throne of grace we run for help and timely comfort, with faith that he will not reject the flock his heart has purchased. From his pierced side pours forth the sign that he shall leave us never. And at the end of this veiled life we’ll live with him forever. 10
