The 2021 RAM funding represents the total 2021 funding for the four equity loadings and the three base allocation loadings, a total of seven loadings. The Committee will hear from the Narrabri Shire Council regarding the difficulties faced by local governments to adequately address the impacts of FIFO/DIDO workforce practices in regional communities. The Shire’s submission states that the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) makes FIFO/DIDO, ‘more cost effective than subsidizing permanent accommodation,’ and recommends that taxation benefits be reviewed.
