OP130(1)-1 A “dried up rice paddy,” Korea. – 1951 May. – Inscribed on the back: Our rest area, after 61 continuous days in the line, a “dried up rice paddy.” Forever remembered by those who rested there as “Flint’s Folly.” (Major George Flint made a recce to select the rest area, after Kapyong. Note the jeep immersed up to its axle in mud). Sgt. Trenter, Support Company, lit up the night by burning 90 gallons of gasoline in a fruitless effort to silence what seemed like a million frogs. The morning after our big blow out, I saw 6 soldiers in a row, hands on the man in front, being led to the MO. They were so drunk, they fell into the rice paddy and blinded themselves, mud in the eyes. – Same as P130(33)-1. – Located in map cabinet 3/4.

OP130(2)-1 Pats moving into position. – [ca. 1951]. – Same as P130(16)-4. – Located in map cabinet 3/4.

OP130(3)-1 View of the hills around Kapyong, Korea. – [ca. 1951]. – Located in map cabinet 3/4.
