Traffic control personnel will be at this location directing traffic south to 17th Avenue. In town traffic use 10th Street North to 17th Avenue North. The Comptroller’s Office initiated the investigation after current city officials reported questionable transactions executed during the tenure of the former Mayor and his administration. Specifically, allegations pertained to a local professional baseball team as well as inconsistencies with a contract for solid waste collections. The investigation was limited to selected baseball team records for the period June 1, 2011 through October 31, 2019 and solid waste records for the period August 1, 2016 through October 31, 2019. The results of the investigation were communicated with the Office of the District Attorney General of the 26th Judicial District. BACKGROUND The City of Jackson is in Madison County, Tennessee, and is the eighth largest city in the state.
