For this we offer what we believe is a very generous commission structure to thank you for joining our Partner Program and to ensure you want to keep working with us. Our commission structure is based on the number of individual tours you resell during a set period of time. It means you will receive a percentage of the total cost as premium for bringing us new clients. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO ENTER OUR PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM AND BUILD A TRUSTING RELATIONSHIP WITH US, YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING COMMISSION STRUCTURE: • up to 12 tours sold per year: 10% commission of total price • 12 to 30 tours sold per year: 12% commission • 30 to 50 tours sold per year: 14% commission • over 50 tours sold per year: 16% commission You, therefore, just need two small groups of 6 people each to obtain 12% commission. Any Agency who do not wish to sign an agreement with us will receive 10% commission which will not be progressive. Any Agency who do not wish to sign an agreement with us will receive 10% commission which will not be progressive. The commission levels are assigned on your first invoice depending on the number of people booked and are retroactive and progressive. To explain how this works let’s say you book a tour for 10 people with us, you will get either a 10% discount or a refund of 10% according to your preferences. The next time you book with us during the same calender year, we will readjust the commission level to the correct percentage for your first booking and your second. This means if 2 months later you get another group of let’s say 22 people, you will be eligible for a 14% commission. You will then be invoiced for the total cost of the 22 tours minus 14% commission on this sale + the 4% commission from your first sale. On top of this commission, you might be eligible for special promotions we regularly run for our Travel Agency Network. This might mean free upgrades for your group to the next category hotel and free day-time activities. However resellers do not benefit from our 11th guest for free offer. We will add you to our Reseller Newsletter to keep you up-to-date with our latest offers. We value this policy because if gives you an incentive to book again with us and ensures smaller resellers get the same advantages as larger corporation and everyone knows what to expect. page 4 out of 40 www.ultreyatours.com ULTREYA TOURS [email protected] +1 646 934 6859 OUR GUIDE TO CHOOSING YOUR CAMINO The Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of Saint James, is the name used to refer to all the routes that lead to where the apostle Saint James the Great is said to be buried. The Camino Portugués In 1998 the Confraternity of Saint James published the first English language guide to the Camino Portugués prepared by Francis Davey and Rod Pascoe. Since then, there have been changes to the route and increasing numbers of pilgrims have chosen this way to Santiago. The tourist authorities in Portugal provide details of various pilgrim routes to Santiago in Portugal This Guide is a new edition and describes the route known as the Camino Real or Camino de Lima from Porto, through Ponte de Lima to Valença and then across the border into Spain at Tui and on to Santiago. The Confraternity also promotes research and provides a bursary to young people undertaking research into the movement around St James and they also offer help to elderly, frail or disabled people who might otherwise be unable to undertake the pilgrimage. The Confraternity publishes guides to many of the routes to Santiago and also runs two refuges for pilgrims at Gaucelmo (on the Camino Francés) and Miraz (on the Camino del Norte). The routes from the old Kingdom of Asturias were the first to take the pilgrims to Santiago. The coastal route was as busy as the other, older pilgrims’ ways long before the Spanish monarchs proclaimed the French Way to be the ideal route, and provided a link for the Christian kingdoms in the North of the Iberian Peninsula. This endorsement of the French Way did not, however, bring about the decline of the Asturian and Galician pilgrimage routes, as the stretch of the route from León to Oviedo enjoyed even greater popularity from the late 11th century onwards. The Northern Route is not a local coastal road for the sole use of the Asturians living along the Alfonso II the Chaste. shoreline. This medieval route gave rise to an Liber Testamenctorum (s. XII). internationally renowned current, directing Oviedo Cathedral archives pilgrims towards the sanctuaries of Oviedo and Santiago de Compostela, perhaps not as well- travelled as the the French Way, but certainly bustling with activity until the 18th century.
