List of Countries With Low Incidence of Tuberculosis Students who have resided in any country other than those listed below in the past 5 years must check YES in the bottom section of Part 2 of the Health History and Immunization Report, enter the name of the country where they resided, and complete the Tuberculosis Skin Test (PPD) section on Page 4 of the Health History and Immunization Report. This increase in geographic coverage makes the HDI more useful for assessing the situations of all economies – including small economies traditionally omitted by UNDP's Human Development Reports. The components of the HDI are assessed to see which economies in the region display relatively strong performance, or may exhibit weaknesses, in those components.

Yet scattered across the globe, remnants of former colonial empires are still non-sovereign as part of larger metropolitan states. There is little drive for independence in these territories, virtually all of which are small island nations, also known as sub-national island jurisdictions (SNIJs). Why do so many former colonial territories choose to remain non-sovereign? In this paper we attempt to answer this question by conducting a global comparative study of non-sovereign jurisdictions. We start off by analyzing their present economic, social and political conditions, after which we assess local levels of (dis)content with the contemporary political status, and their articulation in postcolonial politics. We find that levels of discontent and frustration covary with the particular demographic, socio- economic and historical-cultural conditions of individual territories. While significant independence movements can be observed in only two or three jurisdictions, in virtually all cases there is profound dissatisfaction and frustration with the contemporary non-sovereign arrangement and its outcomes. Instead of achieving independence, the territories’ real struggle nowadays is for obtaining ‘true equality’ with the metropolis, as well as recognition of their distinct cultural identities.

The history of the collection is described, including the increasing involvement of the Niue community since the 1980s, key items are highlighted, and collecting possibilities for the future are considered. History of Niue
History of Niue From the Niuean language, it is clear that both Tongan and Samoan immigrants populated the island some 1,000 to1,500 years ago, although oral history names five original settlers. Also accounted for in oral histories are the introduction of the coconut, inter village rivalries, and contacts with other islands. The first patuiki (head chief) came to power about four hundred years ago. Captain James Cook visited Niue in 1774, but the hostile reception he received led him to name the island Savage Island. Although whalers and missionaries called at Niue several times, it was not until 1846 that a man named Peniamina introduced Christianity on Niue. In 1849, he was joined by a Samoan named Paulo, who spread Christianity to all parts of the island, brought peace among the villages, and prepared the people to accept foreigners. The British missionary George Lawes arrived in 1861, ushering in the island’s transformation by introducing European clothing and goods, writing, and a money economy. Young Niueans gained contact with the outside world by contracting or being indentured to work abroad. Still, society’s governing structure remained largely intact, even when Niue asked the British Crown for protection from possible colonization by other Western powers. In 1901, the first New Zealand colonial administrator arrived. Change in the form of medical care, radio broadcasting, harbor facilities, and so forth came gradually over the next 50years. Then, in 1959 and 1960, two destructive cyclones led to an era of rapid change. The reconstruction effort required what was for Niue an enormous influx of materials, vehicles, and organizational support.

Education Implementation of rights for equal opportunities for education for all Indigenous peoples must be monitored by UN Permanent Forum for Indigenous Issues. There must be an own section for indigenous education which is closely connected with UNESCO (Global Education Monitoring Report 2015). In Finland 70% of Sámi children are living outside of Sámi area. They are not getting any education in Sámi language and culture or even Sámi language education. Although Finnish Constitution provides and guarantees rights for the own culture and language for Sámi peoples. There are no concrete acts to improve the situation in Finland at the moment. Indigenous peoples need a permanent mechanism to monitor the education. Not only the result of how many hours, how many pupils/ students are getting the education but also the indicators and measurements of how the education is organized and how it is takes into consideration the Indigenous peoples own traditions. There are some positive examples also. Sámi Education Institute as an Indigenous organization has had a great position to implement the UNDRIP in daily bases for example in Sámi reindeer herders education.
