The Worth Invitational 10 a.m. THIS WEEKEND: The No. 4 Washington softball team (12-0-1) heads to Fullerton, Calif., for its Washington vs. No. 20 Ohio State fourth-straight road trip. The Huskies will play five games in the Worth Invitational, Feb. 28-March 2, Fullerton, Calif. against Portland State, No. 20 Ohio State, Northwestern, Pacific and Purdue. Washington is fresh off a 2 p.m. sweep of its opponents at the NFCA Leadoff Classic to win pool six and record its best start in its 11-year history. SERIES HISTORY: Washington has faced all five of its scheduled Worth Invitational opponents and Noon holds a commanding 42-3 (.933) all-time lead. The Huskies are 23-0 against Portland State, including a pair Sunday, March 2 of victories last season, 6-2 and 9-1 (5). Tia Bollinger and Ashley Boek each recorded 10 strikeouts from Washington vs. Purdue the mound against the Vikings.
