HUSKY SOFTBALL RECORDS AND HISTORY HUSKY HISTORY 25 SEASONS WINS BY YEAR First win: Feb 26, 1993 1993 Defeated Michigan 4-0 at the Kajikawa Classic First postseason win: May 21, 1994 1994 Defeated Maine 10-0 at NCAA Regionals, Fullerton, Calif. 1995 May 26, 1996: Huskies shock UCLA to advance to their first 1996 WCWS Championship game, downing the 4th-ranked Bruins 8-2. 1997 May 16, 1998: UW advances to their third WCWS appearance in as 1998 many years, besting LSU 6-0 at home in NCAA Regionals. 1999 UW sets the record for team ERA (0.73) while also playing the 2000 most games (71) in a single season. 2001 2002 March 3, 2003: Kristen Rivera sets the record for home runs in a game (3) vs 2003 Purdue on her way to setting single season (25) and career (79) home run records. 2004 February 3, 2005: Heather Tarr wins her first game as head coach 2005 besting Jacksonville 12-0 at the Hawai’i Classic in Honolulu. 2006 May 2, 2007: UW upsets 2nd-ranked Alabama in Super Regionals 2007 to advance to the WCWS for the eighth time. 2008 May 17, 2009: Longest game in UW history.
