Visibility of short term (6-12months) workflow in the Welsh public sector The purpose of this post Covid "work pipeline" document is to provide the construction sector with confidence post Covid-19 of continued public sector expenditure and delivery and forward plan of short term opportunities. • This pipeline document has been prepared rapidly in response to requests from the construction industry in light of the impact created by the coronavirus. As such, it is neither a comprehensive nor a complete breakdown or statement of infrastructure plans. • This data has not been subject to quality assurance by Welsh Government, and does not constitute agreement by the Welsh Government to fund any of projects included. Financial figures and dates included within the document are indicative only and are subject to change and/or removal. • Data (and any gaps in data) in respect of Local Authority returns is the responsibility of, and has been provided by, the Local Authorities themselves. • Inclusion of a project or programme does not constitute a funding commitment by Welsh Government to deliver the project or programme, and cannot be relied on as such. • This document should not be confused with the regular updates that the Welsh Government publishes to the Wales Infrastructure Investment Plan Project Pipeline. The most recent iteration (https://gov.wales/sites/default/files/publications/2019-11/wales-infrastructure-investment-plan-project-pipeline-2019_0.pdf) sets out our plans for more than £33bn of planned infrastructure investment across a broad range of public and private sector projects. The document has been prepared by the Welsh Government as a key short term action arising from the Ministerial Construction Forum. It has been produced in conjunction with public sector bodies and industry and covers the last 2/3 of the period 2020/21. The document does not provide a definitive list of all the work opportunities available within each public body and the extent and quality of information reflects the availability of data at the time of publication. Also, it does not replace the annual publication of the WIIP (Wales Infrastructure Investment Plan) Pipeline document which provides a longer term view of the "pipeline". It should also be noted that inclusion within this post Covid pipeline document does not guarantee that the works will proceed as planned nor that it will not be subject to any changes. Contractors and materials producers/suppliers should maintain contact with the procuring bodies, tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners along with regularly monitoring Sell2Wales. It is also important that contractors actively provide tenders for this work to ensure that the public sector are able to meet their delivery Blaenau Gwent Sector/Funding stream Project Title Value Design Date Design in house / external Procurement Date Start on site Date Completion Date Highway Engineering/WG Grant 1.
