Thanks for the Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 No Ainz action today but there was a lot of background and stage setting, which is nice I feel like Ainz is up Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 something in the capital now, since Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 was there. Can't wait for the rest of the novel Another chapter today? Is this Heaven? Or what? Thank you for your hard work in translating this for us, more chapters can't come soon enough. I really like these kind of "side stories". Sometimes it nice to see how others are living their lives instead of just the MC. I also really like Brian the one who shalltear beat and gazeoff's rival. Hopefully he becomes strong later on. I want him to be able to beat Shalltear although its probably never going to happen. To beat Shalltear, he'd have to be at levelcapable of using class 10 magic, and be outfitted in at least 1 world class item, with the rest of his equipment being the next highest rank. Absolutely wrong What kind of illusion is that? There are definitely many people who don't read every single word of the novel like me lol XP. I don't think side-stories are good or bad, but the way this chapter was written Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 simply horrible. I skipped most of it. We get so much captain-obvious information that it's sad, there's so much hamburger-narrative to the point I scream out: "Who is the narrative talking to!? Why is it lecturing me about everything!? Thanks so very much for all your hard work!! Interested to see Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 the humans will be enfolded into Nazarick!!! That's no filler actually, I find it really useful for the story since it concerns the Kingdom. The first and second part of the lizard thing was more or less useless but entertaining imhobut this part obvisously isn't at all. Knowing about the Kingdom is unavoidable, and a complex world, deep, is a good thing. Most of the information in this chapter is utterly redundant and was told in an insanely annoying manner. The narrative in this chapter focuses on lecturing and info-dumping, rather telling an actual story. For an instance, in the fight between Climb and Stranoff -- the lecturing narrative explains so much as they fight, to the point it seems like the two of them freeze in place for 5 minutes without doing anything. It was a real pain to read this chapter, I hope the author will stop Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 with trying to explain every single little fucking thing. And I hope he never stops. If you want empty action with no plot, go read bleach or something of that type and don't bother people, who actually likes to read words. This feels a lot like the previous volume. Spend an entire chapter on that lizard guy, have Ainz massacre his tribe, and then eventually become Ainz's subordinate. Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 honestly didn't like that the story should stick with the main characters not branch off so much otherwise it sucks, not to speak bad of it but last volume was terrible compared with the first 2 and this start is not looking good to me. Despite this I hope it won't turn into another lizardman chapter and we get to see everyone at Nazrick and Ainz. I totally agree with Olen. Also, these side stories show different levels of interaction between characters and how the world works. Like how the author portray loyalty. All in all, it adds more depth to the world and makes me see a bigger picture than when they focus on MC's POV. The problem Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 switching view points early on is that unless its done well we don't get the time to connect with any of the main characters. Other Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 would spend 1 or 2 volumes fleshing out Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 main cast so that the reader would actually care about them but imo Overlord switched way too early so we feel disconnected from Aniz and co to the point where I wouldn't care if they died. I sort of think that the author is doing this on purpose so that they can make Aniz lose in the end but we'll see Sup, so I'm like the fifth anon here ; Ill call myself Raffle So Raffle sees that the author likes making lots of small stories into his big story. Its like the story is fractured into smaller bubbles, Witch are made into smaller bubbles. It feels like Raffle is reading Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 collection of short Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5. About this nobles and loner pro knight, Raffle would belive more that this knight would isolate himself from the noble knights because of his own preconceptions Just like our glorious Ainz Ooal Gown With his "enemies" but that's not what is written here :P, perhaps this would make it overly complicate and intricate for the side story that't 4 times removed. I feel like Climb has mastered the first step of his fighting style, the first strike and could eventually surpass Stronoff, By mastering the second third and fourth step. But than again if the author made Stronoff say that he has no talet it could be Stronoffs naivety or a choice of the authors. Thanks for your hard work. I guess this volume will be about the kingdom's royal family. I wonder if Ainz will don his mask of jealousy once more and call in that favor from Gazef. I don't expect the new chapter will released this fast! So focusing on the humans now Thanks for the chapters!! I'm glad they included the side stories and stuff, because then during the fights its easier to switch viewpoints and see the different Povs. Thank you for the translation! Such hard work is appreciated by everyone. Thanks guys, read everything in the past week and now the wait begins I have to admit im getting a little put off the series because it keeps going away from ainz and following random side characters i dont Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 about. Does anyone know if it keeps doing this later into the novels or does it go back to ainz point of view?? Thanks for you hard work. No, if they used their equipped magic item as well, even adventurers would have a hard time spotting them. In other words, there was no one in the village who could see the two women with their Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5. This was boring. I like switching POV to give the world a larger scale; the assassins part was a nice touch. This Climb and Renne character together with the Lizardmen volume was horrible. The author have focused too much on other uninteresting characters that by the end, Ainz and friends' character development has become disjointed Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 the story. I even lost interest with the Nazarick characters as they have had almost 0 development their scenes always involved, "Ainz-sama!!! I might drop this novel if it does not improve in this volume. Because you not a dedicated reader! Why spit shit like you dropping it anyway. There are many good part in the story the side story help us to build up the feeling until then. You just too lazy to read after all. Saturday, July 11, Overlord Volume 5 Chapter 1. Part 1. Lower Fire Month 9th Month2nd Day, He stepped outside, and felt as though he were walking into a wall of heat. Around this period, every place in the Kingdom was still muggy and unpleasant, even after sunset. That said, the time of harsh heat was gone, and the temperature ought Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 go down as time went by. Still, there Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 no sign that it was changing for the cooler. His partner for tonight replied:. That would take the edge off the heat. He looked to the sky as he said that. The sky was clear; there were no clouds in the sky, to say nothing of rainclouds. The constellations seemed abnormally large, but it was simply the usual night sky. It would not be quite right to describe these men as ordinary villagers. For starters, they were armed. They Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 leather armor and had longswords at their waist; far too militarized for ordinary village guards. In addition, their faces and bodies did not look like Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 of farmers, but hinted at a Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 with violence. The two of them walked into the village without a sound. Shrouded in night, the village was silent save for their footsteps. They pressed forward steadily amidst this sinister atmosphere, as though nothing else lived here. Their calm attitudes suggested that patrols like these were daily Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 for them. The village they walked in was surrounded by a high wall, and there were six watchtowers within sight. They looked Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 and well-built; even frontier villages which were frequently attacked by monsters would not boast such formidable watchtowers. This was not so much a village as a military base. Even so, a third party might only consider this to be Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 heavily-fortified village. However, what that observer saw next would truly furrow their brow. Overlord, Vol. 5 (light novel) | Yen Press

After an intense twelve-year run the game servers are about to be shut down. Within the game exists a guild, Ainz Ooal Gown, once consisting of 41 members and credited as one of the strongest guilds in the game. Now only 4 of the members remain, the other 37 having quit the game, and only one, a skeletal "Overlord" character named Momonga, continues to play as the guild leader, maintaining their headquarters in The Great Tomb of Nazarick. In the minutes before the shutdown he invites the remaining Overlord: (Novel) Vol. 5 members, but of those only one appears and only for a short while before leaving. While saddened by this, he accepts the reality that his friends have their other lives to take care of and decides to stay logged in until the servers shut down. Momonga has been trapped in the form of his game avatar, leaving him unable to use the normal player functions such as General Message, or even to log out. With no other option, Momonga sets out to learn if anyone from the real world is also in this new world with him. Taking on the name of Ainz Ooal Gown, a message to any other players, Momonga begins exploring the world in an attempt to figure out what has happened while searching for anyone or anything that could help him solve this mystery, while ensuring the safety of Nazarick. Ainz Ooal Gown seems to have modifications made to his behavior by in-game mechanics, because he demonstrates no moral qualms with killing and other actions that are taboo in the real world. This is a story about the psychology of a creature beyond ethical concerns with near-limitless power.
