It plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of every region of the country including the state of Jharkhand. With a view to improve railway infrastructure and to extend the railway network in Jharkhand, Ranchi Railway Division was formed in the year 2003. The Government of Jharkhand always extends necessary support and cooperation to Indian Railways towards development of the state and improvement of services for the people. Godda Shivpur Sanki Tatisilwai Map not to scale In a mission mode, railways have achieved many visible milestones in Jharkhand in the last seven years in different fields i.e. construction of new lines, doubling, development of stations etc. On the freight side, loading has reached a new milestone where the potentiality of the state enriched with minerals played the lead role. The changing face of transport sector in Jharkhand and the expectations of its people are being fulfilled with topmost priority. In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, Indian Railways is playing a significant role by taking various measures to combat the situation. With a view to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus, Indian Railways is producing PPE Kits, Reusable Face Masks, Hand Sanitizer etc. In addition, coaches have been converted to COVID Care Centres. Some of the recent achievements of railways and ongoing projects parliamentary constituency-wise in the state of Jharkhand are being highlighted in this Pamphlet. It may be noted that the budget allocated to various projects is not apportioned state wise but ref lects the cost of the project. INPUTS BY RAILWAY IN LOHARDAGA CONSTITUENCY A. WORKS COMPLETED IN LAST SEVEN YEARS: B.1 Infrastructural Developments: u Barkichanpi-Tori New Line (29.5 Km) at a cost of Rs.583 crores (total project cost) u New staon commissioned at Barkichanpi & Bodagram u Lever frame replaced with PI at Lohardaga u Sliding Boom commissioned at RL-8 , RL-19 u Electrical Liing Barrier at RL-19, RL-9. u Datalogger commissioned at Lohardaga, Barkichanpi and Bodagram u Fire fighng equipment (Fire alarm and smoke detector ) commissioned at Lohardaga u Electrificaon of 110.6 KM track done in Ranchi-Lohardaga-Tori secon along with provision of one OHE cum PSI depot at Lohardaga, 08 Switching Posts and 02 Tracon Sub-staons at Piska & Lohardaga. u Ranchi-Lohardaga Secon : Limited Height Subway at KM. 488-1 in lieu of manned level crossing No.RL44 at KM 487/8-9 at a cost of Rs.1.85 crores u Ranchi Division : Through Ballast Renewal -121km at a cost of Rs. 8.24 crores u Ranchi Division (different secons) - Through Ballast Renewal 33.65 km. at a cost of 3.45 crores B.2 Passenger Amenies : u Improvement of passenger amenies at Pokla staon by providing piped water supply, improving approach road and circulang area u Replacement of 600 convenonal lights by LED lights u 01 bay RDSO type plaorm shelter constructed at each of Lohardaga, Kurkura, Pakra and Pokla - staons (total 4 bays) u Improvement of Adarsh Staon RDSO type plaorm shelter, Pay and Use Toilet at Lohardaga u 9 number of Road Under Bridge in lieu of level crossing No.RL 22, 37, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, HB 37 and 41 at a cost of Rs.14.34 crores u Provision of plaorm shelter at Pakra and Kurkura staons u Plaorm shelter, improvement to circulang area at Pokla staon u Improvement of circulang area at Lohardaga staon u Extension and surfacing of Plaorms at Nagjua, Itky and Argora staon. u Conversion of halt staon to full-fledged staon with new loop line at Bodagram. With a view to improve railway infrastructure and extend the railway network in Jharkhand, the Ranchi Railway Division was formed in the year 2003. The Government of Jharkhand always extends necessary support and co-operation to this railway towards development of Jharkhand and improvement of train services. Railways have achieved many visible milestones in Jharkhand in the last 5 years in different fields viz. construction of new lines, doubling, introduction of new trains, extension of service, increase in frequency of trains etc. On the freight side, loading of South Eastern Railway has reached the mile stone of 154.87 Million Tonnes, where the lead role has been taken by the state.
