The most common banking scams include:

Overpayment scamsR A scam arst sends you a counterfeit check. They tell you to deposit it in your bank ac- count and wire part of the money back to them. Since the check was fake, you’ll have to pay your bank the amount of the check, plus you’ll lose any money you wired.

Unsolicited check fraudR A scammer sends you a check for no reason. If you cash it, you may be authorizing the purchase of items or signing up for a loan you didn’t ask for. Automac withdrawalsR A scam company sets up automac debits from your bank account to qualify for a free trial or to collect a prize. It can be very difficult to stop these automac with- drawals. PhishingR You receive an email message that asks you to verify your bank account or debit card number.

Evidence Based Healthy Food Trends for 2021 Condensed from healthline.com By Katey Davidson, MScFN, RD Medically Reviewed by Lisa Hodgson RDN,CDN, CDCES The year 2020 brought hardships and change for many people around the globe, and our everyday habits and behaviors have dramacally shi ed. Our priories have changed as well, with many people focusing anew on their health and wellRbeing, including what they eat. As a result, food and health culture have changed. We will see these changes come to fruion in 2021. The top food and nutrion trends ex- pected for 2021 include: Funconal nutrion including immunity boosters and eang for beer mental health Mental healthhas become a priority for many people. While food alone cannot treat or cure depression, anxiety, or stress, eang a mostly minimally processed diet rich in a variety of nutrients may help support your mental health. Diets rich in anoxidants, vitamins (e.g., B vitamins), minerals (e.g., zinc, magnesium), fiber, healthy fats (e.g., omegaR3s), and other bioac- ve compounds, such as probiocs, have been linked to beer mental wellRbeing, though higher quality studies are needed (NIH). In 2021, we’ll noce more food and beverage companiescoming out with productsthat contain these ingredients with an emphasis on reducing stress and improving sleep, which is also linked to beer mental health. In parcular, funconal beverages that contain stressRreducing compounds, such as adaptogens V substances that can help your body adapt to stress V and cannabidiol (CBD), the nonRpsychoacve part of the cannabis plant, will increase in popularity. For example,Four Sigmac’s Mushroom Hot Chocolatecontains an adaptogen known as reishi, which may induce calmness to help you sleep beer and lower occasional stress (NIH). While taking these products may reduce stress and support your mental wellRbeing, a parcular diet should never replace prescripon medicaons or other treatment methods, such as therapy. Rather, your diet should be one piece of the puzzle to beer mental health.

My "Teaching classes" in college taught me that, "If you want to get your students aenon, just ask them a ques- on." So now I would like to ask you a queson. When I say the word HISTORY, what comes to your mind? It would be nice if this were a "ZOOM" computer session and I could hear your replies, but I am not sure I even know how to do a ZOOM com- puter session. My children have to set me up on those. I think that even with my College Degree and some addional years of college a er the 1960's, I would need to go back to school and relearn all the newness of this new ZOOM computer age. Re- mind me to put that on my TO DO list and then priorize that list so I can find the me to go back to school! If you think, I am making excuses, you are totally correct! ...I need to Meander back to my original thought; HISTORY. As I write this Marge's Meanderings, you can decide what you want to do with your thoughts on History. It does not sur- prise me that we have a School Teaching son that graduated in Polical Science and History. I think he would have had History be his major but by the me he and his wife were both graduang from college, our son could graduate sooner, if he used Po- lical Science as his major. Because History was his minor, he sll teaches a lot of History classes in High School and also taught History classes overseas for a Junior College. History to me is not only a subject in school, it was something I lived with in my childhood home from the me I could listen to my parents talk about the history of every individual in their families. My Mother's parents came here from Norway and she was "first generaon born American". My Father's Father was born in England and came with his parents to America, when he was a young child. My Father's mother was barely born in America as her parents came from Denmark. I was very lucky or blessed to have a Mother that sent me to all four of my grandparents for me to listen to their stories of "History".Then when I was old enough to write well, I put most of those stories down on paper and the first set of family books I made numbered seven. I started to teach classes on, “Wring Family Histories", and even did some on a College level in Idaho. It amazed me that so few people knew so lile about their family's histories. One of my first assignments was to talk to the oldest living members of their families and get the facts and stories down on paper. At least, I hoped my students would at least get their parents and grandparents down on paper before the ancestors died and those histories were lost to all the next generaons. When I started doing books on my parent's families, I asked my Aunts and Uncles to send me their his- tories and a few pictures from their childhood. If they didn't write me even a short history, I usually had one of their siblings write a history. I loved reading about my parents through the eyes of their siblings. I really didn't put them in a hard bound book (prinng costs you know) but they were bound in Xeroxbooks I made. I could never get my own parents to write their stories, but I had a formal session with them and wrote their stories for them. I can tell you, however, that stories wrien by people themselves are much beer and more interesng in the first person. I had a brother who died in the military just a er the Korean War. He served in Korea and I wanted his story to be saved even though he had no posterity to give it to. I wanted all his nephews and nieces (some would be my children) to know his story. I also had a brother die at the age of 31 and he le a wife and 3 children under the age of 7. The two youngest of my brother's children would probably not have memories of him. His wife asked us brothers and sisters to write our memories of that brother before he married her so that her children would have a history of their father in our childhood home. I was the ninth child of eleven and may have been the only one who wrote my memories. When I did my Father's family book, I asked his eight siblings to send me histories of them as children with my father. I LOVED reading the leers of those who wrote me. I saw my father through the eyes of siblings who lived with him, played with him and gave me details that were so fun to read. I said at the beginning of this Marge's Meanderings that I would let you decide how to use your thoughts on History but one suggeson I could leave is, write a brief history on your life, if you haven't already. You can expand it later. Your enre family will thank you. Also, if you want to do more, write a brief story on each of your brothers and sisters andgive it to them or their families, if the brother or sister are not here anymore.Their families will also be so thankful. This is not the last me you will hear about this theme of HISTORIES from me, so I hope you will jot a short history of you down now before you forget this gentle assign- ment.Happy Histories to all of you and that is my message of LOVE for this Marge's Meanderings for Februarybecause I LOVE HISTORY!
