Time Certain) Eacb year, the MTPO reviews its public invol ement plan to ensure that its process provides full and open access to all citizens. Page#65 III. University of Florida Survey Research Center NO ACTION REQUIRED Telephone Survey 2014 This report gives the results of the statisticaJ ly-valid 'telephone survey that was recently conducted for the MTPO. Page#189 VIII. Election of Officers ELECT OFFICERS Last year, the MTPO elected Chair Susan Baird, Vice- Chair Lauren Poe and Secretary Treasurer Robert Hutchinson. Page #191 IX. I. APPROVAL OF THE MEETING AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA Mr. Koons asked for approval of the Consent Agenda and Meeting Agenda. MOTION: Commissioner Byerly moved to approve the Consent Agenda and Meeting Agenda. Commissioner Wells seconded; motion passed unanimously. II. MV TRANSPORTATION, INC.- CITIZEN COMPLAINT Mr. Koons stated that complaints regarding transportation disadvantaged service have been referred to the MTPO. Ms. Lenora Stewart discussed her complaints and answered questions. Mr. Kelly Gonzalez, MV Transportation General Manager, addressed Ms. Stewart's complaints and answered questions. He noted that he was working with Ms. Stewart to resolve her conc~ms. -7- 1 Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization Minutes October 6, 2014 III. TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AMENDMENTS- Mr. Koons stated that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has requested two amendments to the Transportation Improvement Program. MOTION: Commissioner Poe moved to amend the Fiscal Years 2013-14 to 2017-18 Transportation Improvement Program to add the Federal Transit Administration Section 5317 Purchase Vehicles and Equipment Grant Project identified in Exhibit 1. Commissioner Hinson-Rawls seconded. Mr. Koons conducted a show-of-hands vote; motion passed unanimously. MOTION: Commissioner Poe moved to amend the Fiscal Years 2014-15 to 2018-19 Transportation Improvement Program to add the Interstate 75 at State Road 222 Safety Project identified in Exhibit 2. Commissioner Warren seconded. Mr. Koons conducted a show-of-hands vote; motion passed unanimously. IV. UNIVERSITY AVENUE MULTIMODAL STUDY-EXISTING CONDITIONS REPORT Mr. Koons stated that the MTPO's consultant for the University Avenue Multimodal Study was present to provide an update on the study. Mr. Bruce Landis, Sprinkle Consulting Vice President, and Mr. Peyton McLeod, Sprinkle Consulting Project Manager, discussed the Existing Conditions Report and answered questions. Mr. Landis noted that they could look at through movement versus destination traffic. A member thanked FDOT for its approval of a Complete Streets Policy. He mentioned the Atlanta MPO Latent Demand Study and noted that the University of Florida is updating its Campus Master Plan and hoped it incorporated some of the recommendations into its update. V. NEXT MTPO MEETING Mr. Koons announced that the next MTPO meeting is scheduled for December 1, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. VI. COMMENTS A. MTPO MEMBERS A member discussed a recent trip to Minneapolis for a racial equity workshop and asked about potential light rail connections to the outer municipalities. Mr. Koons stated that a light rail feasibility study was conducted several years ago and the findings indicated that light rail was
