coast guard foundation 2014 annual report his annual report of programs and donors is a great snapshot of our efforts to support Tthe men and women of the United States Coast Guard and their families. On these pages we’ve dedicated space to highlighting how we support the service and those who make the support possible. We are proud of our support that brought seven large-scale capital projects, including a state of the art community center for Coast Guard families sta- tioned in remote Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. We are proud that our support of morale, well- ness and recreation initiatives continued to impact Coast Guard members at 160 units and locales across the globe. Our support for education, in the form of grants and scholarships for enlisted members, their spouses and their children, topped $650,000, reach- ing more than 1,200 people. And yet these facts and figures don’t tell the true and complete story of how our support, through the generous and thoughtful contributions of thou- z dedication sands of people who care about supporting these ur annual report is dedicated to Robert J. Flynn, Chairman brave men and women of the Coast Guard, changes of the Coast Guard Foundation Board of Directors and lives. The real story can be found in the faces and Trustees, who passed away in February, 2015. Bob was smiles of those who now have playgrounds to gather O elected Chairman of our Board of Trustees in 2012. He was a member with their families and build community. It’s the of the board since 2002, and was vice chairman for several of those 600 people and families stationed in one of the most years, and he was instrumental in transforming our organization.
