Baru Pekanbaru 28294 Telp/Fax. 0761-63277 Abstract This research is a contemporary study which explain the efforts from a non- governmental international organization that operates as a charity foundation called Comic Relie f to improving healthiness in Ghana at 2013. Comic Relief was established initially in Britain in 1988 by the English-born New Zealand scriptwriter Richard Curtis and Alexander Mendis in response to the famine in Ethiopia. After that, Comic Relief becomes a charity that stands with a vision of the world to be just, free from poverty and with a mission to encourage positive change through the power of entertainment. This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from some resources like books,journals, official publications and relevant websites. This paper used the pluralism perspective and International Organizations written by Clive Archer. The object in this research is Comic Relief as an main actor in International Relations. The result of this research shows that Comic Relief creates some programs and efforts that involving several parties such as international organizations, corporations, UK Government, medias, and public figures in social aspect. The programs and efforts such as making television programs, visiting marginalized country to get to know how to help them and donate the funds to the British and African countries. -

Over £8 million to UK Community Foundations, whose members made over 1,730 small grants to local community projects on our behalf. The One Direction Red Nose Day single, ‘One Way or Another’, which was No 1 in 63 countries and boosted our appeal to a whole new global audience. The completion of four new technology projects including a new donations platform that processed nearly 500,000 transactions in six hours on the Night of TV. The figure doesn’t begin to reveal the sheer volume of work involved in screening and selecting the projects, which itself is only the start of the bigger process of monitoring and evaluating the impact that those grants have, and the social change they help to deliver. -

This follows over six years as a freelance Line Producer in TV narrative comedy. I also line-produced a feature film: David Brent – Life on the Road, written and directed by Ricky Gervais. Before becoming freelance, I was staff at the BBC working on high-profile productions across both comedy and entertainment. In particular, the annual Comic Relief/Sport Relief TV appeals where it was necessary to draw on my past experience of ‘shiny floor’ shows, comedy dramas, sit-coms and sketch shows. That money has been hard at work helping to improve the lives of people at home and across the poorest communities of the world. I have been proud to be part of that herculean effort and feel blessed to be leaving Comic Relief in robust shape, with a world of opportunity still to explore. -
