Update 20.04.2021: Die Tournee wurde ersatzlos abgesagt - die Tickets bitte über das Gutscheinverfahren zurück geben und uns die Codes zur Auszhalung zukommen lassen! ------------------------------------ THE CHURCH - 40th Anniversary Tour 2021 Aufgrund der Coronavirus-Pandemie wurde die Tournee von THE CHURCH in den Mai 2021 verschoben. Die Band fokussiert sich jetzt auf die Arbeit an ihrem 25. Studioalbum, dass noch dieses Jahr veröffentlicht werden soll. Entsprechend können die Australier auch neue Songs auf der 40th Anniversary Tour in 2021 präsentieren. 1980 war das Gründungsjahr der legendären und bahnbrechenden australischen Band THE CHURCH. Der Sound aus Sydney mit seiner Fusion aus New Wave, Post Punk, Independent u. Psychedelic Pop/Rock variierte im Laufe der vier jahrzehntelangen Schaffensperiode. Zeit für einen Rückblick und ein Jubiläum, dass gebührend im Rahmen einer europaweiten Tournee durch elf Länder von Mai bis Anfang Juni 2021 gewürdigt wird. Höhepunkt wird ein exklusives Konzert im O2-Forum in London sein. In Deutschland spielen THE CHURCH vier Shows in Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Köln und Hamburg. Die Fans können sich auf ein besonderes Konzerterlebnis mit allen Hits und Golden Oldies freuen. Aktuell arbeiten die Australier an neuem Material und Songs. Ein komplett neues Album wird in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres veröffentlicht. Weltweite Bekanntheit erlangten THE CHURCH u.a. durch ihre Smash-Hits „Under The Milky Way“, oder „Reptile“. In ihrer Diskografie stehen 24 veröffentliche Alben zu Buche. Das wohl bekannteste Album ist der 80er Jahre-Klassiker „Starfish“, gefolgt von den wegweisenden Alben „The Blurred Crusade“ und „Priest=Aura“. Nach wie vor stehen THE CHURCH voll im Saft, haben nichts an Kreativität und Spielfreude eingebüßt. 2010 wurden sie die australische (ARIA) Hall Of Fame aufgenommen, ihr 30-Jähriges Jubiläum feierten sie gebührend in der Sydney Opera mit großem Orchester.
