In order to increase the amount of training offered to our offender population, MCE is dedicated to manufacturing superior products at affordable prices while providing excellent customer service. Our product line varies widely to meet a full range of business requirements and features furniture for offices, reception areas, libraries, dorms, lounges and outdoor settings.Additional products and services include furniture restoration, food products, office supplies, apparel, cleaning products, mailing and distribution, data entry, warehousing, laundry and printing.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) is to provide structured employment and training activities for offenders in order to improve employability upon release, to enhance safety and security, to reduce prison idleness, to produce quality, saleable goods and services, and to be a financially self-supporting State agency. VISION STATEMENT

Transforming lives through mentoring , providing marketable skills, and instilling positive work ethics to contribute to a safer community. MCE Case Study: Maryland Transit Administration BaltimoreLink

Old Temporary Bags Cover the New Signs Before the Unveiling New Signs Unveiled on June 18, 2017

In December of 2016, MCE Sign Plant #111 worked closely with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) to help launch the new BaltimoreLink initiative.

The Sign Plant’s role was to produce the new signage for the updated bus routes. The new signs were launched on June 18, 2017. To help avoid confusion to Baltimore residents, MTA and the Sign Plant created temporary bags to put over the new signs before they were ready to be unveiled. These bags featured the existing routes from the old signs. When the new routes were ready to take effect, the bags were cut off and the new signs were revealed to the public. These temporary bags created a seamless transition from old signage to new signage across the region. ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERRED PRODUCTS
