GREENACRES DISABILITY SERVICES ANNUAL REPORT 2011/2012 2001 Head Office Building at 2/4 Ralph Black Drive North Wollongong was purchased Illawarra Workwise moved from Dapto to new premises at Unanderra Court, Unanderra Winner in the ‘Community Service Business’, ‘Health & Education’ and Innovation’ categories of the Integral Energy, Illawarra Business Awards 2001 2002 Sold the SCAE Building at 8 Railway Crescent, North Wollongong and moved the factory operations to 5 Ralph Black Drive, North Wollongong. Joblink Service opened an off-site Training Centre at 31 Auburn Street,Wollongong to cater for the growth in new ATLAS/Joblink consumers 2003 Smith Street Centre moved to a new location at 53 Auburn Street, and Greenacres Retirement Options for the ageing business service users opened in the Smith Street centre The Association launched its new logo and corporate identity at its 50th Birthday Celebrations on 29th November 2003, and the Commemorative book ‘Greenacres Association—the First 50 Years, 1953—2003’ was launched at the celebrations 2004 The Church Street Centre moved to a new location at 32 Greenacre Road, West Wollongong and a second ‘high support’ day centre was opened in Albion Park Rail in a modified home that the Association purchased at 10 Oak Street 2005 The factory building at 1/4 Ralph Black Drive, next to the Head Office building was purchased to consolidate the business services to one site when the existing tenant’s lease expires. A 10 Pallet truck was purchased as a back up to our main vehicle with the assistance of the Tailored Assistance Funding Package provided by FaCS 2006 A new Community Participation Program was established at 10 The Esplanade Oak Flats The building at 5 Ralph Black Drive North Wollongong was purchased A new web site which provides a better representation of the Organisation was launched Greenacre Association changed its name to Greenacres Disability Services A 250 pallet bulk store, to better service our Sydney Customers, was established at 7 Ralph Black Drive 2007 A Respite Options program was established in a property purchased at 32 Greenacre Road, Wollongong next to the existing centre. This is a flexible program that targets the adult children of older carers. Greenacres moved into the Shoalhaven with the establishment of Community Participation and Respite Options Programs in Lyndhurst Drive, Bomaderry and a Transition to Work service in Park Road, Nowra. Greenacres Disability Services was again the winner in the ‘Health and Community Services’ section of the Illawarra Business Awards 2007. Additional factory space was purchased next door to our Head Office and main factory at Unit 9, 6-8 Ralph Black Drive North Wollongong.

GREENACRES DISABILITY SERVICES ANNUAL REPORT 2011/2012 2008 Greenacres Community Participation Service expanded into the northern Suburbs of Wollongong with the purchase of a new property in Rowland Avenue. A property was purchased in Esperance Drive, Albion Park to Allow for the relocation of clients with very high support needs from the Oak Street Centre. A property was purchased at 92 Rayleigh Drive Worrigee to relocate the Retirement Options Program from Lyndhurst Drive.

2009 A property was purchased in High Street Corrimal to allow the Greenacres Community Participation Service in Rowland Avenue to relocate to the northern suburbs of Wollongong. Greenacres Retirement Options moved from Smith Street to the Rowland Avenue site. TTW rented a property in Gould Avenue Nowra to cater for the growth in numbers in of the program allowing the Park Road property to be used for the ‘Two Streams’ aboriginal pilot program. A property was purchased in Ord Place Albion Park to commence a 24/7 respite service. Greenacres re-auspiced the Flagstaff Open Employment service in Nowra in late 2009 with full DEEWR approval bringing a further 70 service users to GES. Greenacres took possession of Unit 1, Number 4 Ralph Black Drive in June 2010 to allow for the relocation of the Bulk store from Number 7 Ralph Black Drive and to allow for further expansion in our factory production space together with more offices for staff. Greenacres Tendered and was successful in taking over two ADHC day programs, ‘Harmony’, in Kanahooka Road Kanahooka and the ‘Albion Park Day Centre’. These two services brought 60 new service users to Greenacres CP programs.

Greenacres volunteer program was extended to Nowra ‘Better Days’ mental health support program won the 2010 Eli Lily Major Award for the best program to improve the health and physical wellbeing of people with mental health issues. 2011 Kanahooka Road, Kanahooka was purchased Neil Preston retired as CEO after serving in that role for 16 years Transition to Work Program, Ulladulla moved into new premises at 62 Ulladulla

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

At the end of 2011 we spear head for the change and the principles celebrated the retirement espoused by this scheme are strongly of our CEO, Neil Preston supported by Greenacres.
