20th September – HMT Engagement Discussion FCA Model Hosted by: Associated British Ports Internationally trading members were invited to a roundtable discussion with HMT Customs Unit to discuss the proposed new Facilitated Customs Arrangement (FCA). The FCA is designed to provide the most frictionless trade possible in goods between the UK and the EU, while allowing the UK to forge new trade relationships with partners around the world. The final configuration of the model is obviously subject to ongoing discussions with the EU.

15th October – DIT Roundtable on Trade Policy Venue: Cardiff & Vale College In partnership with DIT and Cardiff & Vale College In July, the Department for International Trade (DIT) launched four consultations to inform the UK’s future trade relationship and potential negotiations with Australia, New Zealand, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the United States. In partnership with DIT we hosted a regional stakeholder event to discuss the consultations, and the UK’s current and future trade relationships with the countries on which they are consulting.
