The Doctor and his companions remained to fight alongside the colonists, with the Doctor destroying his foes by using their power against them, and exposing security head Bragen as the murder of the examiner. The Doctor, Polly and The Second Doctor came across the body of a terraformer on Pluto 's moon, Charonand prevented a shadow creature from escaping its capture after Professor Magellan and his spacecraft crew set it free by killing the beings who had The Second Doctor it. The Doctor, Ben and Polly fought a mechanical grasshopper whilst taking a stroll on an alien planet. PROSE : The Sour Note On Doradathey were enslaved by the Masters of Doradahaving their memories altered so they wouldn't remember living anywhere else and being forced to work in their factories. They were freed by two rebel Doradans, but refused to assist them in killing the Masters. Shaken after watching the deaths of the rebels, the Doctor and his companions shut down the machines controlling the Masters' life processes.

    DOCTOR WHO AND THE GENESIS OF THE DALEKS By Terrance Dicks 1 SECRET MISSION It was a battlefield. The ground was churned, scarred, ravaged. Nothing grew there, nothing lived. The twisted, rusting wrecks of innumerable war machines littered the landscape. There were strands of ragged, tangled wire, collapsed dugouts, caved-in trenches. The perpetual twilight was made darker by fog. Thick, dank and evil, it swirled close to the muddy ground, hiding some of the horrors from view. Something stirred in the mud. A goggled, helmeted head peered over a ridge, surveyed the shattered landscape. A hand beckoned, and more shapes rose and shambled forward. There were about a dozen of them, battle-weary men in ragged uniforms, their weapons a strange mixture of old and new, their faces hidden by gas masks. A star shell burst over their heads, bathing them for a moment in its sickly green light before it sputtered into darkness. The thump of artillery came from somewhere in the distance, with the hysterical chatter of automatic weapons. But the firing was some distance away. Too tired even to react, the patrol shambled on its way. A man materialized out of the fog and stood looking in bewilderment after the soldiers. He was a very tall man, dressed in comfortable, old tweed trousers and a loosely hanging jacket. An amazingly long scarf was wound round his neck, a battered, broad-rimmed hat was jammed onto a tangle of curly brown hair. Hands deep in his pockets, he pivoted slowly on his heels, turning in a complete circle to survey the desolate landscape.

We therefore feel that this adventure is best placed after the audio drama Her Final Flight, which saw him encounter a fake Peri. Both of them fare very well and there is the classic mix of humor and action famous in doctor who. Other adventures. Peri and the Fifth Doctor arrive in present day Los Angeles on the trail of a malevolent fish-alien. He can see out of the mouth and his eyes are mostly obscured by cheese wire! The ending twists so many of the jokes throughout the play right around and suddenly stops you laughing and starts you feeling quite down. As the production hurls itself over its emotional crescendo, the many myriad fates of Peri are revealed and reconciled. Soon, it's Peri who spins a tale, an, um, fish tale, to tell Peri and the younger Doctor - because the Sixth Doctor accidentally causes the death of the Piscon Zarl before his younger self can defeat him. While the first half offsets the comedy with some pathos, in Peri's despair at what kind of person she will eventually become, the second half not only adds further humour, but provides a real kicker as the truth of the intervening years is finally revealed.
