AMSTERDAM TOURNAMENT WHITSUN 04 - 05 JUNE 2022 NETHERLANDS - ABCOUDE BBQ working overtime One thing is for sure at the Amsterdam Tournament: for a fun, attractive tournament, Abcoude is the place to be. Within a few years, the tournament has grown to become the largest senior tournament in the Amsterdam region. The organising club FC Abcoude has about a thousand members. It gets really busy at their sports grounds on a normal weekend, let alone when another 1,000 international guests from seven countries pop by. The outdoor café will be buzzing, and the BBQ will be working overtime. CATEGORIES: MEN (M-O), MEN (M-O/7), VETERANS (M35/7) ORGANISER: FC ABCOUDE PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES: NUMBER OF TEAMS: 70 FIRST EDITION: 2013 Programme Approximately 70 teams from seven countries: 2018 brought another truly international competition. At the Amsterdam Tournament you need to give it your best shot. What’s nice is that whatever language you speak, everyone shares the same passion for football. The international competition is played at the beautiful sports park of FC Abcoude, at the green edge of Abcoude, 20-minutes from Amsterdam. Organiser The Amsterdam Tournament is organised by FC Abcoude. The club is a partner of AFC Ajax and regularly supplies youth players like top talent, Matthijs de Ligt. 1. FC Abcoude Sport facilities The Amsterdam Tournament takes place in Abcoude, a quaint little village a few kilometres south of Amsterdam. The organiser has beautiful sports grounds with 4 pitches, and a spacious canteen with a bar and terrace. The terrace is laid out with festive stalls and a large grill during the event. The venue is only a few minutes' walk from the station, where you can catch a train for a 15-minute ride to the centre of Amsterdam.
