Accomplishments and Innovations during 2016 - 2017
• Designed and launched engagement survey, assessed outcomes and engaged community in action planning.
o Redesigned the Haas Engagement Survey to strategically align staff engagement with organizational performance, specifically the Haas Strategic Business Plan.
o The survey administration had a minimal issues and the participation rate of 85% exceeded the prior two survey administrations as well as the participation goal set for this survey. Results yielded some new insights over previous surveys – allowing us to focus on very actionable items. • Developed and implemented processes for Haas leadership to recognize and develop critical talent needs for sustained organizational performance.
o Led one talent review for each major Haas business unit, focusing on preparation for the Annual Performance Review. Developed a framework, format and tool for these reviews in light of the current Haas organization and then conducted sessions for these groups: DAR, Finance, Instruction and Strategy & Operations. The purpose of the sessions was to level set performance evaluation across each group, identify current / emerging talent- related issues, promote more shared ownership of Haas talent among senior leaders, and provide a more consistent staff experience. In addition to the Haas performance criteria, three additional performance dimensions were introduced: achievement; behavior; and impact. • Developed organization structure and titles for degree program staff that ensure consistency across Haas programs, clarified career paths and aligned titles with peer institutions.
