Government Defeat in Lords on Violent Crime Reduction Bill Wednesday 17/05/2006 On 17/05/2006 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Violent Crime Reduction Bill: To require that a local authority may not make an order designating a locality as an alcohol disorder zone if an action plan is being put into effect. This was defeat number 36 in the parliamentary session.
