It was a fantastic experience and our team were overwhelmed with the unbelievable hospitality shown throughout the trip. There are numerous projects now in the pipeline and countless opportunities for future collaborations with Egypt. We met Mohammed Rdwan the Head of Youth With the Kids at Star Sports at Arab Contractors Club Academy in Cairo and watched their Watching Arab impressive U16s play Al Contractors V Aswan Ahly. Time Sports Interview We visited training sessions at the Star Sports Academy in Cairo as guests of owner Ayman Awad and the Head of the Academy Fekri Saleh. These sessions are for children aged between 4 and 19 with over 300 children participating three days a week. The passion, enthusiasm and overall quality was fantastic to witness. TV Interview Neil and Ibby with Al Ahly Trophies Watching a training session with Director of Al Ahly SC the Sporting Director of Al Ahly SC Neil and Ibby were introduced to Khalid Mortgi, a Director of Al Ahly Club – The Club of the Century, and also had a discussions with Amir Tawfik and watched training with Sporting Director, Sayed Abel Hafeez and Egyptian National Al Ahly Legends legend, Sherif Adel Moneim. We also visited Al Zamalek Sporting Club, including The President of the Club, Mortada Mansour and Sporting Director Sherif Islam. We witnessed facilities available to the members that would match those anywhere else in the world. This took place at the International Stadium in Cairo, in front of 80,000 people. They have already gone one better than last year’s progression to the second round by reaching round three for the first time in the club’s history, brilliantly beating Gateshead, FA Youth Cup Carlisle City, North Shields, Harrogate Town, Morecambe and Hartlepool United along the way. Also the experience will have helped massively in the development of these young players and we watch with anticipation how their young careers progress.
