Yoshi Oida est un acteur hors du commun. Né à Kobe en 1933, il a dédié sa vie aux théâtres du monde entier, en ayant pour seule ligne de conduite de renoncer à la facilité. Son apprentissage commence au Japon : il est initié au théâtre Nô par les plus grands maîtres de l’école Okura. De cette expérience, il retirera l’importance de l’harmonie entre tous les éléments qui constituent l’outil principal du comédien : son corps. Puis en 1968 Yoshi Oida est invité à Paris par Jean-Louis Barrault pour travailler avec Peter Brook. Il fonde avec ce dernier le Centre International de Recherche Théâtrale (CIRT). Au contact du « magicien du théâtre européen », il apprend que le comédien doit être « un vent léger, qui devenant de plus en plus fort, doit allumer une flamme et la faire grandir ». Aux côtés du maître, il apprend également la mise en scène, métier qui l’occupe énormément aujourd’hui. Il sillonne alors le monde à la recherche de la maîtrise théâtrale la plus complète, apprenant les jeux Africains, Indien, Persan. Il s’interroge sur la frontière entre la scène et la vie de tous les jours : « Qu’ai-je appris sur la scène qui pourrait m’aider à vivre ma vie d’homme ordinaire ? ». -

Gender and Computer Games/ Video Games Girls’ Perspective Orientation Authors: Yan Jingjing Subject: Master Thesis in Business Administration 15 ECTS Program: Master of International Management Gotland University Spring semester 2010 Supervisor: Bo Lennstrand Abstract The topic of this thesis is “Gender Differences in Computer games/ Video games Industry”. Due to rapid development in technology and popularization of computers all around the world, computer games have already become a kind of common entertainment. Because computer games were designed especially for boys at the very beginning, there are still some remaining barriers when training female game designers and expanding game markets among female players. This thesis is mainly based on two studies which have enormous contributions to gender issue in computer games area. A simple model is established by summarizing factors mentioned and discussed in those two books. The main purpose consists of two comparisons under Gender Differences: one comparison is between the current data with the previous one, in order to check whether there are any changes during the past 10 years. The other one compares the young people in two regions, Sweden and China, in computer games perspective. Model designing, test, questionnaire and interview methods are used in this paper aiming to collect and categorize the data, which facilitates to analyze the results of the comparisons. The results reflect that although computer becomes a familiar “friend” in modern daily life, there are not obvious changes of girls‟ perspectives in computer game industry. Certainly, there are some differences between the young people coming from two regions which will be expounded in the thesis. -

Se efectuó una entrada a este mundo animado nipón mediante sus diferentes definiciones y concepciones, su creación a través de las compañías de animación, la posterior distribución mediante distintos medios de comunicación masivos y el consumo pasivo y activo de los otaku (オタク) tanto en la Argentina como en diversas partes del mundo. Se hizo hincapié en la apertura que produjeron los avances tecnológicos para el aumento de la recepción de este bien contemporáneo, la modificación de la forma de consumo y el incremento del interés sobre este fenómeno por parte de académicos en todo el Globo. Mt. Tsurugidake - Located in Tateyama mountain range in the Northern Alps in Toyama Prefecture, Mt. Tsurugidake stands 2999m above sea level. Tsurugidake is renowned as a difficult mountain and since the beginning of historical records, it has been designated as the “god” for those engaged in mountain asceticism-shamanism and sometimes referred as “needle mountain” or “mountain of death” for its inaccessibility. Neither for fame, nor for profit, the men staked their lives on an impossible mission, for nothing more than a map. ISSUE NO. 55 December 2010 - January 2011 The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur Sensational Duo YOSHIDA BROTHERS Coming to KL! The sensational Yoshida Brothers have been making waves all over the world and are finally coming to Kuala Lumpur. Presented by The Actors Studio and The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan and with the support of JT International Berhad, Yoshida Brothers will be performing at The Actors Studio@Lot 10 from 21 to 23 January 2011. Traditional art forms around the world have come to a crossroads. Faced with stiff competition from mainstream popular culture, as well as a decline in audience and general interest in traditional art forms, many are struggling to preserve their cultural heritage. There are some who have taken traditional art forms to a whole new level where today’s audience, particularly the younger generation, can relate to it and appreciate it. After all, it is all about accessibility. One such group is the Yoshida Brothers, comprising 33-year-old Ryoichiro Yoshida and 31-year-old Kenichi Yoshida. At the age of five, both started learning the shamisen, which is a three-stringed traditional Japanese instrument. After sweeping prizes at national Tsugaru shamisen conventions, the brothers made their major debut in 1999. Their debut album sold over 100,000 copies, which is an extraordinary figure for a traditional folk music release. The Yoshida Brothers went on to develop their own unique blend of the Tsugaru-jamisen style fused with Western and other regional music influences. Crowned the ‘new masters of the Shamisen’ by J-Pop World, the duo recently released a “Best of Yoshida Brothers” album, and they continue to tour extensively in Japan and internationally in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Taiwan, gaining legions of fans along the way. -

präsentiert JAPANISCHE MEISTERREGISSEURE Vier japanische Regisseure, die Kinogeschichte schrieben, erstmals in Europa Japans Filmgeschichte ist vielfältig. Mit unserer Reihe Japanische Meisterregisseure werden wir als erstes DVD-Label europaweit auf die unglaubliche Bandbreite des japanischen Kinos aufmerksam machen und hoffen, damit vor allem Cineasten und Fans des klassischen japanischen Kinos zu begeistern. Ab Herbst 2009 präsentieren wir Filme, die zum großen Teil erstmals in Europa auf DVD erscheinen werden und nur sehr selten bei Filmfestivals zu sehen waren. Um dem ursprünglichen Charakter der Filme möglichst nahe zu kommen, bieten wir alle erscheinenden Filme im Originalton mit deutschen Untertiteln an und verzichten weitgehend auf deutsche Synchronisationen. Vorerst stehen insgesamt 22 Titel von vier Regisseuren auf dem Programm: Das provokante Frühwerk Nagisa Ōshimas wird mit vier Filmen präsentiert. Europaweit noch völlig unveröffentlicht ist das düstere Werk eines der vielseitigsten japanischen Regisseure, Yoshitaro Nomura . Der Schleier um einen weiteren großen Unbekannten des japanischen Kinos, Keisuke Kinoshita , wird mit fünf Filmen aus seinem vielschichtigen Oeuvre gelüftet. Unter anderem befindet sich auch der allererste japanische Farbfilm in der Auswahl. Die meditativen Familiendramen Yasujiro Ozus stehen im Mittelpunkt unserer Reihe: Wir veröffentlichen eine Auswahl von elf Filmen, die die Schaffensperiode von 1936 bis 1962 abdecken. CINEMA Anime’s Human Machines Thu 12–Mon 30 Sep 2019, Cinema 1 Part of Life Rewired Throughout September Barbican Cinema presents Anime’s Human Machines, a major film season showcasing the enduringly popular and relevant genre, Japanese animation. The films showing here confront the onslaught of technology and screen as part of Life Rewired, a Barbican cross-arts and learning season running throughout 2019, exploring what it means to be human when technology is changing everything. Curated by anime expert Helen McCarthy and produced by Barbican Cinema, this season features eight landmark films, from trailblazing low budget titles such as the cyberpunk Tetsuo, The Iron Man (1989, Dir Shin'ya Tsukamoto), to later films including Macross Plus The Movie (1995, Dir Shôji Kawamori), Metropolis (2001, Dir Rintaro), and Ghost in the Shell (1995, Dir Mamoru Oshii), the latter Introduced by Shōji Kawamori, anime creator, and mechanical designer on Ghost in the Shell. The more recent titles Paprika (Japan 2006 Dir Satoshi Kon) and Summer Wars (2009, Dir Mamoru Hosoda) will also play.
