A Shocker!!!By YanieThis book was so interesting I felt like I was really involved in the lives of these characters. Sincere is a true dog that deserves every bit of Karma that is awaiting for him; Taylor is a beautiful, strong woman who deserves so much more than the disrespect she's receiving from her no good husband; it really angered me to see how Sincere was doing his wife dirty throughout their entire marriage; men don't realize how good they got it until everything they took fir granted is gone. I know Chaz is a better man for Taylor they both just need to get it together. It's a small world it seems as though everyone knows everybody in this book since there is sooo much drama. Need part 2 ASAPPP...3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. One click!!!By Mz.TayBaby Sincere ain't nothing but a old dirty dog!! Taylor deserve so much better and I hope she realize that Chaz is her better before it's too late.

  • A Man S Gonna Do What a Man Wants to Do : African American and Hispanic Women S Perceptions About Heterosexual Relation
McLellan-Lemal et al. BMC Women's Health 2013, 13:27 http://www.biomedcentral.com/1472-6874/13/27 RESEARCH ARTICLE Open Access “A man’s gonna do what a man wants to do”: African American and Hispanic women’s perceptions about heterosexual relationships: a qualitative study Eleanor McLellan-Lemal1*†, Lauren Toledo1,2†, Christine O’Daniels1,3†, Olga Villar-Loubet4, Cathy Simpson5, Ada A Adimora6 and Gary Marks1 Abstract Background: HIV prevention efforts have given limited attention to the relational schemas and scripts of adult heterosexual women. These broader schemas and scripts of romantic and other sexual liaisons, partner selection, relationship dynamics, and power negotiations may help to better understand facilitators and barriers to HIV risk- reduction practices. Methods: We conducted exploratory qualitative interviews with 60 HIV-uninfected heterosexual African-American women from rural counties in North Carolina and Alabama, and Hispanic women from an urban county in southern Florida. Data were collected for relationship expectations; relationship experiences, and relationship power and decision-making. Interview transcripts underwent computer-assisted thematic analysis. Results: Participants had a median age of 34 years (range 18–59), 34% were married or living as married, 39% earned an annual income of $12,000 or less, 12% held less than a high school education, and 54% were employed. Among the Hispanic women, 95% were foreign born. We identified two overarching relationship themes: contradictions between relationship expectations and desires and life circumstances that negated such ideals, and relationship challenges. Within the contradictions theme, we discovered six subthemes: a good man is hard to find; sex can be currency used to secure desired outcomes; compromises and allowances for cheating, irresponsible, and disrespectful behavior; redefining dating; sex just happens; needing relationship validation.
