Drafted directly from NW Phoenix’s Thunderbird High School, Jason played within the Expos organization from 1994 to 2000. A strong fielder, Jason played both second base and shortstop and was noted for having a hard working, positive attitude. During the course of his 15 year career, Jason played in various US cities and the opportunity to play in Serie 1 ball in Parma, Italy where he continued to round out his infield experience by playing 1st and 3rd bases as well as taking a turn at pitching. Since leaving pro ball, Jason has given private lessons and served as an instructor, initially for the Washington Nationals. Most recently, Jason joined the Arizona Diamondbacks organization as a hitting coach. Chris Capper: Originally from South Africa, Chris moved to the US at an early age. He played baseball locally, attending Deer Valley High School. A bright pitching prospect, Chris graduated and went on to play baseball in college at Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris was a successful starting pitcher at BYU for 3 seasons until he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks last year. Selected in the 26th round of the 2012 draft, Chris is off to a solid start and is currently playing ball within the D-Backs organization Chas Davis: Chas graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Marketing Communications. An avid player, Chas grew up in a baseball family and played throughout high school and college. He also played in the MLBAAP Australia as a utility player and has coached. An excellent hitter, Chas regularly works with those interested in sharpening their hitting skills. He is currently working on his CSCS certification. Rodney Davis: Rodney was a minor league player in the Dodgers organization from 1983-1985. After spending time as the head coach at Paramount High School in California and a coach at several junior colleges and San Francisco State University, Rodney has served as a MLB scout for several organizations, including the AZ Diamondbacks. He is currently working as a scout for the LA Dodgers organization. He is devoted to the development and maturation of young athletes that are dedicated to the game of baseball Ben Fritz: Ben played baseball at Fresno State University starting as both pitcher and catcher. In 2002, Ben was awarded Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, a second team college All-American and Western Athletic Conference All-Star. He was drafted as a pitcher by the Oakland Athletics in the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft - taken in the 1st round, (30th overall). Ben went on to play 9 years of professional baseball. Currently, Ben is a part of the management team at It’s All In The Game with oversight of the company’s direction. He also coaches individual athletes to harness their natural athletic abilities and mentalities Robby Hammock: Robby Hammock has been blessed with a three time charm, having been drafted three times. Born in Macon, Georgia, Robby was drafted for the first time by the Florida Marlins directly from high school in 1995. The second time, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays pulled his ticket after his sophomore year of Junior College. The third time, the Arizona Diamondbacks drafted Robby in the 23rd round after his junior year at the University of Georgia. Ultimately, Robby’s career spanned 1998 through 2011 and 14 professional seasons during which he also played a season with both Baltimore and the New York Yankees. During his 6 seasons in the Big Leagues with the Diamondbacks, Robby caught Randy Johnson’s perfect game in 2004 and managed to impress with his versatility, positive attitude and diligent work ethic. Robby continues to build upon his 12 years as a Diamondback by working for them as a hitting coach. During the off season, he makes his home at It’s All In The Game as the Hitting & Catching Coordinator. Jon Huizinga: Jonathan "Zinger" Huizinga has been pitching in the minor leagues and independent leagues since he graduated from Michigan State University in 2002. "Zinger" overcame what was called a career ending arm injury in 2004. He has been featured in a documentary film, "The Raw Natural", which focuses on athletes who fuel themselves with organic, raw, and natural foods. He has a special interest in maximizing the human potential with a holistic approach. Coach Zinger is available for classes and private 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, or team instruction. Jamie Mathias: With a degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio State and a love for sports, Jamie has earned the right to direct the fitness programs at It’s All In The Game. Born in Los Angeles, Jamie Mathias started in boxing more than 20 years ago and participated in more than 100 amateur fights. Ultimately, he became a Golden Gloves champion in Arizona, California and Ohio, before turning pro in 1997. A licensed USA professional boxer, Jamie achieved the status of USBA super welterweight champion, a title he held from 1999 through 2003. With additional studies in physical therapy at the University of Montana and NFPT certification as a professional trainer, Jamie now combines his own experience as an athlete with his academic knowledge to successfully craft fitness programs for all ages and those in and outside of the ball playing arena. With longtime ties to Arizona, Jamie is a graduate of Deer Valley High School. He recently returned to Arizona in order to be closer to his parents. Jorge Mejia: Originally from the Dominican Republic, Jorge has been in professional baseball for 13 years. He was first acquired by the Oakland A’s as a free agent in 1999.  He was later acquired in the Rule 5 Draft by the Cincinnati Reds in 2003. Jorge continues to hold two all-time records for the Arizona League with 84 hits and 134 total bases. He was an All Star with the Arizona League in 2003 and Golden League in 2009. Jorge began his coaching career with the San Diego Padres in 2011 and is currently coaching with the Washington Nationals. He spends the off season working with kids of all ages with passion and deep understanding of the game, allows him to take players skills to the next level. Danny Orr: Danny Orr is our Pitching Coordinator and was drafted by the Oakland A's and pitched in their organization until a shoulder injury took him out of the game. Orr's injury led him to seek answers from world renowned pitching guru, Dr. Tom House, and he has been learning from him ever since. Danny is a certified pitching instructor by Dr. House and the Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute at USC and specializes in a science-based approach to velocity development. Orr also spent time with the Chicago White Sox as an associate scout in addition to inventing a patent-pending mental training method for athletes that has undergone two successful scientific research studies conducted at Arizona State University. His method was shown to balance both hemispheres of the brain and improved performance by an astounding 61% in just six weeks. Danny is currently enhancing this neural reconditioning method by collaborating with a Harvard professor on a program for pitchers. Terry Pollreisz: Terry has spent his entire career in baseball since being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1969. He began coaching after his minor league career ended, and he managed his high school team to two Oregon state championships. He was a successful manager of the University of Portland baseball team for 14 years and developed the Pilot Baseball School. He recently retired from the Seattle Mariners organization, where he served as a minor league coach and manager since 1998. Andrew Walter: An Arizona native and graduate of Cactus High School, Andrew excelled in baseball sufficiently to play in college at the University of San Diego and Yavapai College in Prescott. While playing for the Bucs in Anchorage Alaska, Andrew was picked up as free agent by the Houston Astros. Andrew has been working on his pitching velocity in advance of starting his second full season with the Astros. While in Peoria, Andrew is available to work with those interested in his help with their pitching development. .
