With a few weeks of planning, a memorial tribute was born that represented re ghters, law enforcements ofcers, emergency medical services personnel, Inside this Issue: and all other rst responders of the Mid South. On September 11, 2001, within two hours, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives Greetings from the Mayor 2 when three United States strategic locations were targeted for attacks—the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in NY, the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and a Adopt-A-School 3 eld in Shanksville, PA (which was prevented from reaching its intended target Ham Training 3 in Washington, DC). Land graduated from Princeton University (A.B., 1969), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Th.M., 1972), and Oxford University (D.Phil., 1980). Upon completing his doctoral studies Land served as vice president for academic affairs at Criswell College in Dallas (1980-1988) and as administrative assistant to Governor Bill Clements of Texas (1987-1988). He served as president of the SBC Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission from 1988 to 2013. Dr. Land moved the Commission to more conservative positions on social issues such as sanctity of life and homosexuality.

Glisson is one of 52 persons, including 17 lay persons and 35 church or denominational persons, announced by Rogers. They come from 26 state Baptist conventions qualifying for SBC representation. The committee will meet in St. Louis just before the SSC meeting there, June 10-12, to name the SBC Committee on Boards. Reaching people for Christ was the basis upon which the school was founded, and this passion motivates the president, the faculty, the curriculum, and even the chapel programs. Your presence at The College at Mid-America indicates that you share this motivation. The GO! Program exists to provide CAMA students with the opportunity to fulfill the mission of the school through community service. The GO! Program is the demonstration of what the student learns in the classroom. Students are expected to fulfill the biblical command to love their neighbor and thus are required to serve in community service sites and report on the work completed. By serving the community, the student connects the classroom to the practical aspects of community service and enhances his/her preparation to serve in the local church or in the business world. Mable Maxine She was born on September, 29th, 1925 in Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas Eugene and Susie Vera McCaskill. As a child, she lived in Mississippi and Tennessee during the depression and McCaskill Davis graduated from Holly Springs, MS high school in 1942. She married the late Jesse M. Davis on November 24th, 1945 in San Diego during Jesse’s shore leave prior to his return to the Entered is Life Pacific. A treasured family story relates that she took a train September 29, 1925 alone cross country to meet her fiancé in San Diego. She was active in her churches, March 27, 2017 most recently Faith Baptist Church of Bartlett, TN as well as at Peebles West Funeral Chapel Bellevue Baptist Church under pastor Dr. Adrian Rogers. Oakland, Tennessee She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Morris” Davis, her beloved son, Ronny G Davis and her grandson, Mark Officiating Minister Douglass Brown, and sisters Jean Andrews and Emma Odell.
