Pioneer Evangelism is a training ministry that consists of training lay evangelists to go into areas where there are no churches (pioneer areas), winning souls to Christ and starting new works. The goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by planting self-supporting, self-governing, and self-propagating churches under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. The emphasis is not to start just one church but churches starting multiple churches, which in turn start more churches. Wade and Barbara are Bellevue members.

ARRIOLA, JULIO AND CARLA [email protected] Julio started his ministry in Guadalajara in September of 2017. After over 1,300 salvations, 89 baptisms, and over 400 average in attendance on Sundays, they are looking forward to opening another church on the north side of Guadalajara in the fall of 2019. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray for additional workers for their new church and a new passenger van, which would assist them in reaching out to the community.

Their focus is in the Bajio of Mexico; Bogota, Colombia; Santiago, Chile; and the countries of Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia. Mike and Jennifer are former Bellevue members, and Mike is a former intern. PRAYER FOCUS: Right now the situation in Venezuela is critical. Even basic needs of baby formula, medicine, and most foods are difficult for the people to find and buy due to hyperinflation. Please pray for a change to occur and for our Baptist leaders and pastors serving to be strengthened daily as they live and work in desperate conditions.

CAHILL, TIM AND LORI [email protected] Tim and Lori live in rural northern Ghana. Tim works at Baptist Medical Centre caring for patients and sharing Christ. Lori teaches their girls and takes care of their home. Lori is a former Bellevue member and her parents, Bill and Vicki Wilson, are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray that God would give them boldness, wisdom, and the ability to share Jesus with the people they interact with.

CALVARY RESCUE MISSION calvaryrescuemission.org Calvary Rescue Mission is a non-profit, independent, faith- based shelter for homeless men in Memphis. They serve two full meals a day, offer clothing to the homeless, have a 2,500 volume library, and provide nightly chapel services, counseling, a discipleship program, and lodging. DAY 3

They are involved in a teddy bear ministry, New Testament ministry, law enforcement banquet, and chaplain ministry all geared to support local police officers.

CHAVERS, DIANE [email protected] Diane works alongside Ponderosa Student Ministries, which teaches the Bible as the true and accurate Word of God and the authority for faith and conduct. The beautiful facility in Mentone, Alabama, also offers Hospitality Ministry to youth and church groups of all ages, do-it- yourself retreats, conferences, or camps. The ministry’s purpose is to present the gospel of Christ to students by giving opportunities to experience God’s Power, presence, and peace through a relationship with Jesus. They seek to accomplish this through the 3 Cs (& more): Camping, Classes, and Correspondence Courses. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray for continued support for their staff missionaries. They are planning to expand their camping ministry to provide more than one week for foster children at no cost to their parents or the State.

Familylife is a leading ministry for marriage, parenting, blended families, and related resources. They conduct marriage conferences, called Weekend to Remember, in the U.S. and the rest of the world. Familylife Today is the radio program that highlights the ministry and its activities. Tim has held positions in conference management, publishing, and finance and both have served wherever necessary. Tim and Angela began staff service in 2001. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that God will continue to strengthen and heal families through their ministry and that more people would be introduced to the Familylife ministry. Please pray that Tim and Angela will be creative and effective to encourage other Familylife staff such as fellow staff, Walt and Annette Viera.

CHRISTIAN MEDICAL AND DENTAL ASSOCIATION (CMDA) cmda.org CMDA is a ministry dedicated to changing hearts in healthcare by bringing people to Christ and raising up the next generation of Christian doctors to integrate their faith into their practices. CMDA ministers to 400+ doctors in Memphis and has the largest Christian ministry on the University of Tennessee health Science Center campus.

(CCMM) [email protected] The team at CCMM values their commitment to share the gospel with every client, as well as serving young women and families in need. They are committed to providing the truth in love about the sanctity of human life with young women who are actively seeking abortion. It is their goal to connect each one with the many resources available to provide a loving, nurturing home for their child. Saving the Preborn is their top priority. Utilizing their mobile units, they can now bring ultrasound right to a woman’s front door. They meet women in their neighborhoods and even at the doors of the abortion facilities. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that the women they serve would receive Christ as their Lord and Savior after hearing the gospel.

CROCKETT, BRUCE AND JESSICA [email protected] Bruce is the lead pastor of Gateway Church in Columbia Falls, Montana. This is a church plant that seeks to make much of Jesus in their city by engaging the culture, making disciples, and seeing a church birthed. They also desire to be a part of a multiplying movement of churches planted across the West and the world. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray specifically that in 2019 they will see a harvest of people. They are asking God to give them, as a church, a continued passion to share the gospel and for the gospel to penetrate the darkness of their city.

CROSSLINK MEMPHIS, INC. crosslinkmemphis.org Crosslink is a Christian medical supply mission ministry. They provide free medical supplies and low-cost medicines for international medical missions and domestic charity clinics. Their ultimate mission is to further the gospel of Jesus Christ to the least, the last and the lost.

They have planted 67 churches/ preaching stations. They feed 1,500 + street children two hot meals daily at their six food ministry stations/schools. They house 400 + children in two Kenya orphanages.

DAMON AND HEIDI [email protected] Damon, Heidi, and family have worked in northern Africa for 10 years and are teaching at an international school. They are facilitating community development projects in unreached areas using health clinics, English classes, animal health projects, and a variety of other projects.

DANIEL, BILL AND JOYCE [email protected] | [email protected] Bill provides site and landscape design for evangelical missions organizations all over the world through the Facilities and Planning Division of Missionary TECH Team. They are Bellevue members.

DAVID AND LAURA David and Laura have served with the IMB since 2011. They currently live in Europe and seek to share the gospel among the South Asian immigrant community. They also seek partnerships with local evangelical congregations to train them in engaging the growing population of immigrants from some of the most difficult to access countries in the world. David and Laura are former Bellevue members, and David is a former intern. David’s parents are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that many South Asians in Europe would begin to have dreams and visions of Jesus. Ask that, in response, local believers would be present and engaged to answer questions they have about Jesus and the DAY 8 Good News He proclaimed.

DUNCAN, DEREK AND DANA [email protected] Living Water Church began in 2009 with just the Duncan family. Since that time they have grown to 200–250 people, two services on Sunday, a vibrant small group ministry during the week, and a weekly homeless ministry. Kenneth and Grace Ewalt joined them in 2017, enabling the ministry to launch a small group ministry. Also in 2017, Living Water Church helped to launch a new church plant in New Milford, Connecticut, Living Stones Church. Derek and Dana are Bellevue members. Derek’s mother, Ann Duncan, is a Bellevue member. PRAYER FOCUS: Living Water Church has been hurting for space for a couple of years now. They have been looking for land or an existing building throughout that time. Please pray that God would provide the space in His time and that the Duncans would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s direction.

EIKON MINISTRIES, INC. [email protected] | eikonministries.com Eikon Ministries was founded by Roy “Soup” Campbell Campbell in 1997 with a vision to change the urban community from the inside out. Eikon began working to build leaders who live in and are vested in the community. They have five children: Johnny (and Lydia), Jacob, Lynnsi, Aaron, and Benjamin. While in Uganda, John was President of the Global Theological Seminary (GTS), a Bible school committed to equipping pastors and church leaders. John remains GTS faculty, GOI ministry site supervisor, and Academic Dean. Rift Valley Academy is a boarding school that supports missionaries serving in almost 30 African countries. John is Junior High/High School Principal, and Rebecca is Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. PRAYER FOCUS: After 20 years on the field, the Fulks need some rest and renewal while their daughter Lynnsi graduates high school and starts university. Please pray for the right choice for Lynnsi’s schooling and time for the family to rejuvenate before returning to the field in 2020. DAY 10

Lori manages special projects and prayer. Rick is a former Bellevue member.

THE GIDEONS INTERNATIONAL gideons.org For more than 100 years, the Gideons have placed God’s Word in hotels, hospitals, schools, prisons, youth facilities, military facilities, universities, and many other places around the world. They now have camps in more than 195 countries and place Scripture translated in 99 languages.

GLACIER BIBLE COLLEGE glacierbiblecollege.org Glacier Bible College is a one-year Bible school that equips young adults to build a biblical framework to interpret the world. Nestled up to Glacier National Park, they focus on personal discipleship, Christian apologetics, and biblical worldview.

GLOBAL MINISTRIES FOUNDATION (GMF) gmfonline.org GMF is an evangelism agency that supports churches in the areas of international missions in fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ. La Aljaba is an institution that assists abandoned and impoverished children, ages 5–17, to improve their quality of life by giving them the opportunity to benefit from integral development and to contribute to new generations with Christian principles and values. Currently, they provide a full day care, tutoring, daily meals for 80 children, and provide 24-hour care for 26 children. Most importantly, the main goal of La Aljaba is to bring others to Jesus and make disciples. Mike and Julie are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray for La Aljaba Children’s Home that they continue to meet the spiritual, emotional and financial needs of their home, the children and the families they serve.

HORNER, MICHAEL AND MICAH [email protected] Michael and Micah are church planters at the New Thing Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael is a former Bellevue member.

GD5918_19_MGE_Conf_PrayerGuide.indd 16 2/8/19 12:24 PM HYDE, STEVEN AND NOIT [email protected] Steve and Noit Hyde have been leading Words of Life Ministries in Cambodia since 1997. They minister through books, radio programs, saving babies from abortion, evangelism, church planting, and church leadership training. In 2003 Steve’s father, Bill Hyde, an IMB missionary, was martyred in the southern Philippines by Muslims. Since that time, Antioch Institute has been training pastors to reach the island of Mindanao where he was killed. Steve also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Church Growth at Bethany International University in Singapore and teaches church growth in many Asian countries. Since 1997 they have trained more than 10,000 church leaders in Cambodia, seen the start of thousands of churches and tens of thousands of Buddhist come to faith in Jesus Christ. Truly, God is changing the face of Cambodia from a land, which was known as the “Killing Fields” because of a genocide which killed as many as three million people to a nation of peace. In one of the least reached countries for the gospel, now has one of the fastest-growing churches in the world.

INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD (IMB) imb.org IMB is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, whose vision is a multitude from every language, people, tribe, and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ. IMB partners with churches to empower limitless missionary teams to evangelize, disciple, plant, and multiply healthy churches, and train leaders among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God. Laine and Janet are former Bellevue members. Laine is a former intern.

JOHNSON, RONNIE AND RHONDA [email protected] Ronnie is the Pastor of Miracle of Redemption Church, which is located in North Memphis in the Nut Bush community. He ministers to a very diverse people group. They serve in a hard and dark community. The enemy has a stronghold on many people in the community: prostitution, gangs, drugs, and homelessness. They are taking the light of Jesus Christ into our community and seeing people saved and lives being changed. PRAYER FOCUS: Please continue to pray for them as they reclaim surrender grounds for Christ and that their ministry might be blessed with a new van.

JOHNSON, SHELTON, BRANDY, ADDYSON AND SILAS [email protected] Shelton and his family are beginning a new chapter of ministry with the International Mission Board serving in South America. Shelton and Brandy are Bellevue members.

Over 100,000 students come to study in Canada’s capital from all over the world. Less than 1 percent know Christ. Chris also assists with Church on Wednesday, a worship event at the University of Ottawa, plus one-on-one mentoring and Bible studies. Melody is an Educational Consultant with the International Mission Board. She assists families in the Americas Affinity. On top of helping families make decisions on schooling, she also coordinates special events like an annual MK (missionary kid) retreat and homeschooling conferences. Chris and Melody are Bellevue members. Melody’s mother, Marcia Allen, is a Bellevue member. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for students to be open to the truth of the gospel.

JUVENILE INTERVENTION AND FAITH-BASED FOLLOW-UP (JIFF, Inc.) [email protected] JIFF takes youth who have lost hope for themselves, their communities, the church, and the Lord. JIFF actively seeks to show these youth the love of Christ and engage them in building a relationship of their own. This transformation allows them to build a better, more productive life for the future. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray that their youth come to the Lord, turn away from their lives of hopelessness and isolation, and become the Light of Christ in their families and their communities.

KENNEDY, CHAD AND KARIS [email protected] Chad and Karis serve with the International Mission Board in southern Germany where Chad is a logistics services consultant. His duties include finding and securing housing for personnel in Germany and Austria and assisting with visas, taxes, and vehicles. Chad and Karis are former Bellevue members and Chad is a former intern. DAY 15

They currently live in Chad (north central Africa) as church planters among unreached Chadian Arabs. Their current focus is language learning and relationship building as they are new to Chad. They are also developing partnerships with French speaking Chadian churches with plans for church planting training and leadership development among the small Christian community. Robert is the brother of Dorie Pyron, wife to Jason Pyron. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for the Lanes (including their children) to have focus, stamina, and dedication as they are all in language learning. These women, who are in the midst of such crises as homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addiction, crisis pregnancy, and domestic violence, enter Moriah House ministry to find not only a safe haven, but a place of recovery. The program lasts for one (1) year and includes recovery Bible studies, practical living classes, exercise, support groups, church, one-on-one counseling, as well as cooking and cleaning assignments. They provide these services at no charge to the women. The success of the program is evidenced in seeing many women return to school, becoming gainfully employed, and restored to their families. PRAYER FOCUS: Please ask the Holy Spirit to draw, save, and empower each of their residents at Moriah House so their recovery is complete. Pray that the Lord would protect them from the enemy when they leave, so they are able to live productive lives once back in the community.

NICK AND KELLY [email protected] Nick and Kelly’s team seeks to bring the gospel to the 7 million people in Yangon, Myanmar. As more than 90 percent of the population is Buddhist, Myanmar is known as “the land of the thousand pagodas.” Along with their local ministry partners, they are planting healthy churches throughout the city of Yangon through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. Their goal is to plant healthy, reproducing churches in each of the 34 towns in Yangon. Kelly is a former Bellevue member, and Kelly’s mom is a Bellevue member. ONE BY ONE MINISTRIES [email protected] One by One Ministries’ equips, trains, and mobilizes volunteers from the Christian faith community to mentor and educate new Moms to parent well. Some moms need a One by One Mentor because they feel alone or feel unprepared to parent. They are asking for help. One by One wants all Moms to know the love of God and hear the gospel. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for volunteers to mentor their moms who are waiting for someone to love, encourage, and speak God’s truth into their life. They currently have 15–20 moms on a waiting list.

PARIS, FLOYD [email protected] Floyd is the President of United Christian Expeditions (UCE). Through UCE, he works in northern Uganda in five schools, two vocational schools, one Bible institute, 14 churches, one association, 43 health centers, two model farms, one orphanage, and one hospital. In these locations, he teaches students, trains pastors, and gives medical care. Presently, he is the pastor of Leawood Baptist Church. Floyd is a former Bellevue member. DAY 23

Out of 2.5 million people, only a dozen are believers. They spend most of their days being a witness where they live, visiting people interested in the Good News, and traveling to visit this Unreached People Group (UPG). Pray the Lord will draw this UPG to know Him. Stephanie is a former Bellevue member and her parents are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for a conference taking place among our people group in April. Pray for those we will reach through the conference as we follow up with them throughout the year.

PEARCE, PRESTON AND KAREN [email protected] Preston works with believers, churches, networks, and seminaries in Europe and Central Asia to provide biblically sound theological education for church planters and leaders at all levels. Karen works with IMB’s Global Media Team to help others know about what God is doing around the world. Preston and Karen are former Bellevue members and Preston is a former intern. Journey Point is a new church plant as part of the North American Mission Board that launched February 10, 2019 in the community of Stapleton. PRAYER FOCUS: As they launch Journey Point, they are praying to be a catalyst for multiplication in Denver, the West, and the world. They are praying for God to send a plentiful harvest of new believers from the 90 percent of Stapleton residents who are are disconnected from Jesus and for Him to raise up other church planters through Journey Point to send into the harvest.

God has placed her in Memphis to engage refugee residents with the gospel. They serve as a missional community and house church and spend their time serving through ministries that include tutoring, ESL, special events, holiday emphasis, acts of service, visiting, and eating meals together, while forming friendships for bridges to the gospel. Darla’s parents, Al and Mary Richardson, are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray the Bible stories they are sharing will lead the refugee friends to new life in Jesus.

ROBERTS, RACHEL [email protected] Rachel serves with Legacy of Hope Foundation in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, caring for abandoned and vulnerable children. Legacy of Hope believes every child deserves a safe and loving family and is trying to promote foster care, which is an uncommon practice in Honduras, and family based solutions. Rachel’s grandparents, Wayne and Marie Prather, are Bellevue members. PRAYER FOCUS: Please pray for a transformation of a corrupt government system and for the needs and well- being of the children to be recognized and prioritized.

RONNIE TULLOS EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION rtea.net The Ronnie Tullos Evangelistic Association shares the gospel through street witnessing, crusades, revivals, and one-on-one opportunities. SAFE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN safe-families.org Safe Families for Children hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by compassion to keep children safe and families intact. Pray that Jesus would be lifted high as they form lasting relationships with parents who often feel as if God has forgotten them. In addition, women’s conferences, Bible studies, and vocational and literacy training are tools NATIVE uses to enable women to also grow in the Christian faith. In a nation where widows are considered a curse and an outcast, Edgar started a widow’s ministry, which helps provide basic support to widows while equipping them to become prayer warriors, soul winners and mentors to younger women.

SCOUT Scout is from Richmond, Virginia and worked as an MA in the Missions department of Bellevue in the summer of 2018. She recently graduated from Liberty University and she will start working with the IMB as a Journeyman this spring working overseas with an unreached people group who have been displaced by conflict. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for discipleship opportunities among the people group and access into other parts of the country that are still unreached. Please pray for safety for their team and the new believers as they share boldly in this area of the world. One of their greatest needs is acquisition of the local language so that more relationships can be developed.

SHEPHERD, RANDY [email protected] Randy is Co-Founder of Crossfire Ministries, a sports evangelistic ministry that preaches the Word of God and the gospel message of Jesus Christ through university and college basketball outreach, international prisons and public schools, and inner-city outreach through discipleship and personal evangelism.
