DISCOVERING THE RUINS OF MADAIN SALEH Mada'in Saleh, also called Al-ijr or "Hegra", is an ancient pre-Islamic archeological site located in the sector of Al-Ula within Al Madinah Region in the Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. A majority of the remains date from the Nabatean kingdom. The site constitutes the kingdom's southernmost and largest settlement after Petra, its capital. Madain Saleh is a significant trading city of Nabataea and a crucial economic destination for the trade caravans. Here you can witness Al Sane tomb, Al Kheremat, Qusr Al Sani, Al Jabal Ithlib, Qusr Al Bint (Al Bint Palace) and Al Qusr Al Fareed. Al Jabal Ithlib has a narrow ally called “Al Seeq”.
