(Lepidoptera) NPR Zhejral V Jihlavských Vrších II VLASTIVĚDN'i' SBORNÍK VYSOČINY Oddíl věd přír od ních. XIV Muzeum Vysoč iny . Jihlava, 14 143-153, 1999 Fauna motýlů (Lepidoptera) NPR Zhejral v Jihlavských vrších II. Fauna of moths of the nature reserve Zhejral in the Jihlavské vrchy Mts. Z těchto důvodů nejsou uváděny kvantitativní výsledky sběrů (byly by zavádějící) , nýbrž je prezentován pouze seznam nově zjištěných druhů s uvedením data výskytu a některé opakované nálezy ekologicky významných druhů (drobným písmem). Práce shrnuje veškeré nálezy drobných motýlů ("mikrolepidoptera"), a to jak z lapače ( 1998 - 99), tak z předchozích let (1991 - 94), kdy by ly tyto skupiny motýlů sledovány pouze selektivně a výsledky nebyly publikovány. 143 Dále jsou doplněny dva druhů motýlů zjištěné kolegy l. Dvořákem a M. Dvořákem , kterým děkuji za poskytnutí dat. VÝSLEDKY- PŘEHLED ZJ!ŠTĚNÝCH DRUHŮ Druhy jsou řazeny dle katalogu (LAŠTŮVKA et al. 1993). U každého druhu je uveden datum zjištění, v případě vyšší četnosti výskytu (5 a více) je uveden datum prvního a posledního zjištění v příslušném roce (kromě mikrolepidopter). Veškerý materiál určil autor (není-li uvedeno jinak), dokladovaný materiál je uložen ve sbírce autora a u příslušného datum u je uveden počet dokladovaných jedincú. Acta zoologica cracoviensia, 46(3): 269-275, Kraków, 30 Sep., 2003 Reassessment of forewing pattern elements in Tortricidae (Lepidoptera) Józef RAZOWSKI Received: 15 March, 2003 Accepted for publication: 20 May, 2003 RAZOWSKI J. 2003. Reassessment of forewing pattern elements in Tortricidae (Lepidop- tera). Acta zoologica cracoviensia, 46(3): 269-275. Abstract. Forewing pattern elements of moths in the family Tortricidae are discussed and characterized. An historical review of the terminology is provided. A new system of nam- ing pattern elements is proposed. Key words. Lepidoptera, Tortricidae, forewing pattern, analysis, terminology. Józef RAZOWSKI, Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences, S³awkowska 17, 31-016 Kraków, Poland. E-mail: razowski.isez.pan.krakow.pl I. INTRODUCTION Early tortricid workers such as HAWORTH (1811), HERRICH-SCHHÄFFER (1856), and others pre- sented the first terminology for forewing pattern elements in their descriptions of new species. Nearly a century later, SÜFFERT (1929) provided a more eclectic discussion of pattern elements for Lepidoptera in general. In recent decades, the common and repeated use of specific terms in de- scriptions and illustrations by FALKOVITSH (1966), DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968), and oth- ers reinforced these terms in Tortricidae. BRADLEY et al. (1973) summarized and commented on all the English terms used to describe forewing pattern elements. DANILEVSKY and KUZNETZOV (1968) and KUZNETZOV (1978) analyzed tortricid pattern elements, primarily Olethreutinae, dem- onstrating the taxonomic significance of the costal strigulae in that subfamily. For practical pur- poses they numbered the strigulae from the forewing apex to the base, where the strigulae often become indistinct. KUZNETZOV (1978) named the following forewing elements in Tortricinae: ba- sal fascia, subterminal fascia, outer fascia (comprised of subapical blotch and outer blotch), apical spot, and marginal line situated in the marginal fascia (a component of the ground colour).

  • Zoogeography of the Holarctic Species of the Noctuidae (Lepidoptera): Importance of the Bering Ian Refuge
© Entomologica Fennica. 8.XI.l991 Zoogeography of the Holarctic species of the Noctuidae (Lepidoptera): importance of the Bering ian refuge Kauri Mikkola, J, D. Lafontaine & V. S. Kononenko Mikkola, K., Lafontaine, J.D. & Kononenko, V. S. 1991 : Zoogeography of the Holarctic species of the Noctuidae (Lepidoptera): importance of the Beringian refuge. - En to mol. Fennica 2: 157- 173. As a result of published and unpublished revisionary work, literature compi lation and expeditions to the Beringian area, 98 species of the Noctuidae are listed as Holarctic and grouped according to their taxonomic and distributional history. Of the 44 species considered to be "naturall y" Holarctic before this study, 27 (61 %) are confirmed as Holarctic; 16 species are added on account of range extensions and 29 because of changes in their taxonomic status; 17 taxa are deleted from the Holarctic list. This brings the total of the group to 72 species. Thirteen species are considered to be introduced by man from Europe, a further eight to have been transported by man in the subtropical areas, and five migrant species, three of them of Neotropical origin, may have been assisted by man. The m~jority of the "naturally" Holarctic species are associated with tundra habitats. The species of dry tundra are frequently endemic to Beringia. In the taiga zone, most Holarctic connections consist of Palaearctic/ Nearctic species pairs. The proportion ofHolarctic species decreases from 100 % in the High Arctic to between 40 and 75 % in Beringia and the northern taiga zone, and from between 10 and 20 % in Newfoundland and Finland to between 2 and 4 % in southern Ontario, Central Europe, Spain and Primorye.

Catches of R. resinella were recorded from the beginning of May to the second half of July. In addition to target species, we recorded 14 non-target tortricids during this study. The most abundant species among them was Cnephasia pasiuana, a known pest on poaceous crops in Bulgaria. We reported the attraction of males of this species to a mixture of E9-12Ac and Z9-12Ac in a ratio of 1: 1 (dos- age 300 µg).
