Japan’s First “ Room” !

Starting Friday April 1, 2016, Hotel Universal Port, an official hotel of Universal Studios Japan, will offer Japan's first “Minions Rooms” based on the “Minions” characters in the “” series, a movie which became Entertainment and ’ biggest hit ever.

In the “Minions Rooms,” guests will be surrounded by playful Minions on the walls and ceiling, with missile-shaped beds and crocodile-shaped sofas just like in Gru’s house to create a space where they can fully enjoy the humorous world of the Minions.

Chad Jones, Creative Director of Japan Our team had a great deal of fun creating an environment that represented the unique humor and mayhem of the Minions. Working with Universal Studios Japan, Illumination Entertainment, Universal Pictures and the Hotel Universal Port, the Minions Character Rooms will open as the first such rooms in Japan. We set to make the rooms every bit as cute and playful as the Minions themselves. They have quickly become a park favorite at Universal Studios Japan, and we wanted to give their fans a chance to immerse themselves in the Minions story. Now, in addition to seeing the Minions overrun the lobby, hotel guests will get a chance to see the Minions in a whole new way.

On Wednesday July 15, 2015, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the opening of Hotel Universal Port, the Minions takeover the hotel’s lobby, filling it with special birthday decorations.

Enjoy the sort of smile-filled stay that can only be experienced at Hotel Universal Port, where the Minions have taken over.

To commemorate the release of our Minions Room, guests who stay in a Minions Room from the start of the promotion right up to Saturday April 30, 2016, will also receive an original Minions calendar (with April as its first month).

○ “Happy PORT Birthday! Minions Special Decorations” Period: Wednesday July 15, 2015, to Thursday July 14, 2016 (scheduled) Cheerful decorations showing the Minions helping out with birthday decorations to celebrate the hotel’s tenth anniversary will greet arriving guests in the lobby.
