DATE TK, 2019 -- today announces the consecutive launch of five major attractions beginning March 20, 2019 including the highly anticipated attraction “SING ON TOUR”, a dramatic all-new musical-show attraction that brings the characters of the blockbuster hit film SING to life.

HONMONO has come! All-new musical-show attraction “SING ON TOUR” Universal Studios Japan and Illumination, creator of global animated blockbusters and culture-defining franchises, are teaming up once again! They will proudly present the spectacular all-new musical-show attraction “SING ON TOUR” exclusively at the brand new Illumination Theater. Your favorite characters leap from the screen and come to life right before your eyes to perform the hit songs from the movie in a dramatic live show that will thrill audiences of all ages.

The story starts at the Japanese premiere of the world-famous “SING ON TOUR” led by character Buster Moon, a koala. The cast features Ash, the cheerful punk rock porcupine; Meena, a timid elephant with stunning voice; Rosita, a mother pig to 25 piglets; Johnny, an aspiring soulful singer; Gunter, the intensely dramatic performer, and Miss Crowly, Buster Moon’s assistant. Featuring everyone’s favorite songs, including “Shake it off” and “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”, “SING ON TOUR” transports guests into an immersive, all new musical-show attraction.

The show includes sophisticated one-of-a-kind animatronics, cutting-edge kinetic lighting and an enormous LED screen. “SING ON TOUR” has been created under the guidance of a world- renowned Broadway musical producer and features brilliant entertainers, including the celebrated voiceover actor of the film “SING”, Mr. Teruyoshi Uchimura, who will voice the role of Buster Moon. Celebrate the opening of Universal Studios Japan’s new attraction, “SING ON TOUR”! On March 16th (Sat), the original Illumination film SING will be broadcast for the first time on premium (Fuji TV)! The SING broadcast premiere will lead up to the new attraction “SING ON TOUR” at Universal Studios Japan. Tsukasa Saito (Trendy Angel), the voice actor for Gunter, will introduce the latest news about the “SING ON TOUR” attraction.

◆About the film SING “Sing” is the sixth fully animated film produced by Illumination. Produced by (founder and CEO of Illumination), and directed and written by (“Son of Rambow,” “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”), it is the first film the two have collaborated on.
