LUNEDì 13 FEBBRAIO 2017 I Millencolin saranno il secondo special guest della data romana dei The Offspring, al fianco dei già annunciati Pennywise. L'appuntamento è fissato per il 2 agosto al Postepay Sound Rock In Roma e, con questa "Postepay Sound Rock In Roma" line-up, si conferma una vera e propria chicca per tutti i punk rocker 2017: Millencolin secondo special italiani. guest dei The Offspring I Millencolin hanno dimostrato quanto la scena skate punk non sia una prerogativa americana; bensì, dalla Svezia con furore, si sono fatti conoscere in tutto il mondo come i capofila del genere, esploso a livello mondiale negli anni '90. CRISTIAN PEDRAZZINI La band ha prodotto ben otto album in studio, tra cui ricordiamo "Life On a Plate" e "For Monkeys" che hanno proiettato il gruppo al di fuori dei confini svedesi e poi "Pennybridge Pioneers" che ha sfornato singoli come "Penguins And Polar Bears" "Fox" e "No Cigar", cantate a squarciagola da milioni di angry kids. [email protected] I quattro ragazzi di Örebro, Nikola Sarcevic, Mathias Färm, Erik Ohlsson e SPETTACOLINEWS.IT Fredrik Larzon, sono giunti oggi al venticinquesimo anno di carriera musicale più uniti che mai. Nonostante ogni componente, col passare del tempo, abbia sviluppato parallelamente altri progetti, la band afferma che il rispetto reciproco e l'amore per la musica siano stati il collante che ha permesso di evitare rotture o litigi che li dividessero. Questo legame autentico e la loro inarrestabile voglia di suonare si sono concretizzati nell'ultimo album pubblicato "True Brew", disco home-made registrato e prodotto dalla band stessa. Pubblicato nel 2015 da Epitaph, la cui scuderia sforna da sempre pietre miliari del punk indipendente, è un lavoro completo, con richiami alle prime influenze della band e allo stesso tempo un sound fresco e testi moderni di natura sociopolitica. Dopo la più recente pubblicazione della band, il "True Brew" EP (omonimo con l'ultimo album) e in seguito alla creazione di una birra artigianale personalizzata, una White Ipa denominata "POLAR - The True Brew", i Millencolin sono ora nuovamente pronti a tornare sul palco con la stessa potenza di sempre! Seit mehr als einem Vierteljahrhundert gehören die Schweden zur festen Definition von Skatepunk. Der Punksound von Sänger und Bassist Nikola Sarcevic, den Gitarristen Erik Ohlsson und Mathias Färm sowie Schlagzeuger Fredrik Larzon, hat Generationen nach ihnen beeinflusst. Und das Größte daran: Je länger das Quartett zusammenspielt, desto tighter wird es. Das beweisen die Vier nicht nur auf ihren energiegeladenen Auftritten, deren Anzahl um die Marke von 2000 rotieren dürfte - auch ihre Aufnahmen werden umso besser, je cooler und abgehangener die Jungs werden. Eine Baustelle im äußeren Wallgraben zwang uns zur Festivalpause. Doch 2018 ist es endlich wieder soweit: DIE FESTUNG ROCKT – BACK TO THE FESTUNG heißt das Motto des 11. Fes- tung Rockt Festivals... Oulun kaupunginkirjasto on osa OUTI-kimppaa, johon kuuluu kaikkiaan viisitoista eri kaupungin- ja kunnankirjastoa. Koska OUTI-kirjastoilla on yhteinen aineisto- ja lainaajarekisteri, on työssä otettu huomioon kirjastojen muodostama yhteiskokoelma. Opinnäytetyö on tehty kuitenkin Oulun näkökulmasta, ja joiltain osin (karsinta, tarroitus, punkhylly) se keskittyy vain Oulun pääkirjaston musiikkiosastoon. Työssä keskitytään CD-levyihin, rajauksesta päätettiin yhdessä toimeksiantajan kanssa. Työssä on kaksi keskeistä tavoitetta: punk-kokoelman kehittäminen ja musiikin löydettävyyden parantaminen. Punk-kokoelman kehittämisessä hyödynnän Evansin mallia, jonka kuusi osa-aluetta käyn yksitellen läpi. Tärkeimpinä tuloksina kehittämisessä voidaan pitää tekemääni kokoelma- arviota, sekä sen pohjalta tehtyjä valinta- ja karsintalistoja.

Punk rock music has long been labeled sexist as copious media-generated accounts and reports of the genre concentrate on male artists, hyper-masculine performances, and lyrics considered to be aggressive, sexist, and misogynist. However, scholars have rarely examined punk rock music longitudinally, focusing heavily on 1980s and 1990s manifestations of the genre. Furthermore, few systematic content analyses of feminist themes in punk rock song lyrics have been conducted. The present research is a longitudinal content analysis of lyrics of 600 punk rock songs released for four decades between 1970 and 2009 to examine the prevalence of and longitudinal shifts in antiestablishment themes, the prevalence of and longitudinal shifts in sexist themes relative to feminist themes, the prevalence of and longitudinal shifts in specific feminist branches, and what factors are related to feminism. Using top-rated albums retrieved from Sputnik Music’s “Best Punk Albums” charts, systematic random sampling was applied to select 50 songs for each combination of three gender types and four decades.

Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
