Please note that Gerard Carey has now stepped into the role of An earlier “sketch” version of EX ‘Jack’(previously played by Gabriel Vick, who was first seen at BAC in 1999, features in some of the following images). directed by Lisa Goldman INTRODUCTION FROM THE WRITER: I thought it would be funny to write a show about meeting your Ex, in a bar. It has all the nerves of a first date, yet you’ve already seen their bum. Seen them snore. Seen them cry (over Sandra Bullock). And yes, you still fancy them, even though you know what they’re like. I wanted to explore that weirdness. And another thing, why do women always fall for the bad guy? I’ve got some really intelligent female friends, with high falutin’ jobs, but they all turn to mush when Mr. Wrong walks in the room, in his leather trousers. And even though they know that he’ll treat them like dirt, they still sleep with him. What’s all that about? Sex, obviously. Note to self: buy leather trousers. But tonight, lets pretend. We’ve created a show where the bad guy gets slapped, by a woman, then another woman. The nice guy is tall, dark and handsome - and all the women fancy him. Hooray! But watch out, those bad guys are sneaky. Trouble looms... I feel I should warn you that this show contains swearing. And singing. Other than that, you’ll be fine. Please laugh loudly (like Brian Blessed) during the funny bits and sob, uncontrollably, at the rest. CAST AND ROB YOUNG (Writer) Rob has been commissioned to write COMPANY original screenplays for BBC Films, BIOGS Filmfour and Working Title, as well as TV scripts for the BBC and Channel 4. The project started in 2009 and runs until 2012. Forty-eight venues each undergo an Environmental Audit, and receive a Display Energy Certifi cate (DEC) and Advisory Report. They track their energy use through SMEasure. Each venue receives a second DEC a year after their fi rst to measure progress. Ecovenue includes a ‘DEC Pool’ of performing arts venues across the UK that have obtained DECs. The DEC Pool helps us to evaluate the project and share best practice and information, establish meaningful benchmarks, and provide a better understanding of energy use of theatres. As we get older it can become increasingly difficult to leave the house to participate in favorite activities. There is a source of comfort that may benefit you. Pets can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase sociali- zation and physical activity. Be- fore considering getting a pet, it’s a good idea to evaluate what will work for you. Have you had pets before? Are you physically capa- ble of caring for an animal? If you get a dog, will you be able to walk it regularly? If your answer are yes, then you may want to consider getting a pet. While breeders are good sources for pets, a rescue from a shelter might be less expensive. Some shelters offer reduced fees for older pets and for senior citi- zens. In addition, you may give an animal a second chance for a good home. If you are unable to commit to the level of activity a dog may require, consider a cat or perhaps a bird. Just make sure that you are able to provide the care and maintenance your pet may re- quire.
