LETTERS TO THE EDITOR It is Our Job to Remember Citizens of Westfield: Monday June 21, 2021 We are sending out this letter to all veteran organizations, vet- erans, civic organizations and the Westfield community. We are not asking for donations but support to name the new bridge on Main Street, the Purple Heart Memorial Bridge. Our officers and members only purpose is for Veterans Helping Veterans and remembering those who served and gave so much for our freedom. This is a way to show a tribute to those who live and pass through our community that we remem- ber our veterans. We are working with the local Sign Shop who will be making a prototype of the lettering that will be placed on both sides of the bridge that is shown in the picture above. Since I got involved with the veterans in Westfield, many vet- eran organizations have turned in their charter or lost members including 40&8, Submarines, Veterans of Foreign Wars 1847, and American Legion Whip Memorial Post 454. We must build on our history and naming this bridge will remind us, Freedom is Not Free. This will be no cost to the City. We will present to the City and State officials what the lettering will look like. The Westfield Purple Heart Trail will still accept donations for the projects we will be taking on throughout the year. Thank you for your consid- eration. I look forward to hearing from you and for your support. TAURUS (April 20-May 20)  You might want to cocoon at home SCARY GARY Mark Buford today and have a let-your-hair-down conversa- tion with a relative. This might be a good idea. However, note the Moon Alert (see above) and agree to nothing. Don’t volunteer for anything or agree to anything important. Tonight: Private time.
