- SWAMI ADGADANAND Our Publications v Books Languages Yatharth Geeta v Indian Language Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Urdu, Sanskrit, Oriya, Bangla, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Assamese, Sindhi. v Foreign Language English, German, French, Nepali, Dutch, Spanish, Czech, Persian, Japanese, Indonesian, Norwegian, Chinese, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic.

You must have had known through the medium of His Holiness Shri Parmanand Ji Maharaj’s biography “Visions of Life and Self Realization” that Shri Paramhansji was a great soul totally immersed in Sadhana in absolute absolution. Based on the insights infused by the almighty he entered the Anusuiya Forest in Chitrakut at time when India was on the verge of getting independent. Sitting right here You had declared that, “This Nehru will be the King. I been to the court held at Delhi and blessed him. The Lord did show me this and so will happen.” Soon it was known that we were a free country and Sh. Nehru was designated as the Prime Minister of India. Your stay at Anusuiya started with a fast. On the fourteenth day due to the excessive heat some matter resembling blood was observed in your urine, and you pleaded with the Lord. Oh Lord where have you dropped me, in this dense forest? There is no provision for food neither anybody for help. If there will be no body then who will sing your praise? The very day there was the vision, “If you must eat, do it tomorrow.” From the very next day the sky got overcast, the heavenly system started getting in action.

It was developed with a purpose of bringing about social reforms in the society and to inculcate the strong value and ethics system in youngsters. Academician and researcher D. Vable i mention that Dayanand Saraswati, a strong leader in Indian history, wanted to promote Vedas and Vedic way of life. Similarly, Dr. K.P. Jaiswal validated the concept and evolution of Arya Samaj. He laid stress on the foundation of the Arya Samaj.According to him “Arya Samaj brought the reformation in society by making vital changes in the societal concepts. This overhauling led to changes in the mindset of the people of India as well as followers of different religious and educational organization. This National movement was endorsed by the vast number of nationalists. In the contemporary era, Arya Samaj has maintained the stance of strong Vedic culture in followers. In today’s parlance, the well-educated people are also influenced by planetary positions and follow methods to overcome the ill effects of planets. Many a times, rituals are observed as a part of the tradition or out of fear; without trying to understand the need, cause or effect.

THE LIFE & TEACHINGS OF MAHARISHI SWAMI DAYANAND SARASWATI BY BAWA C. SINGH “The world is fettered by the chain forged by superstition and ignorance. I have come to snap asunder that chain and to set slaves at liberty. It is contrary to my mission to have people deprived of their freedom.” Though I was born in Aryavarta (India) and live in it, yet just as I do not defend the falsehood of the faiths and religions of this country, but expose them fully; in like manner, I deal with the religions of other countries. I treat the foreigners in the same way as my own countrymen, so far as the elevation of the human race is concerned. Therefore, the purpose of my life is the extirpation of evils; introduction of truth in thought, speech, and deeds; the preservation of unity of religion; the expulsion of mutual enmity; the extension of friendly intercourse; and the advancement of public happiness by reciprocal subservience of the human family. May the grace of the Almighty God and the consent and co-operation of the learned soon spread these doctrines all over the world to facilitate everybody’s endeavor in the advancement of virtue, wealth, godly pleasure, and salvation, so that peace, prosperity and happiness may ever reign in the world.” Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati. 2 Contents of book 1. • Decoding Life in View of Shaivism
International Journal of Yoga and Allied Sciences (ISSN: 2278 – 5159) Volume: 6, Issue: 2; July- Dec 2017 Decoding Life In View Of Shaivism Vandana Sharma Ph.D. Scholar (Shaivism), Department Of Philosophy, Annamalai University. Abstract : This paper aims at bringing out the meaning of life in view of Shaivism. Śaivism is a form of non-dual spiritual practice and philosophy that originated in India. Śaivites believe that the entire creation is both an expression of conscious divinity and is non-different from that divinity which they call "Śiva". As in all Hindu denominations, Śaivism acknowledges the existence of many other deities. These deities are expressions of the Supreme Shiva but are certainly not separate from him. Hence, Shaivism sees Shiva as the creator, sustainer and destroyer. Whose call is paramount – the flesh or the spirit, art or scientific thought, religious speculative action or contemplation? If the world that I see is unreal, why do I feel so connected to it? If there is no God, why do so many traditions have so many representations of Him or Her? Is it impossible for me to practice spirituality while giving a meaning to life? These queries are part of all spiritual quests, and various schools of thoughts seek to address them in their own way. The unique characteristic of Shaivism is that it provides a complete answer to all of these questions, explaining both the material and spiritual world, the lower and the higher selves, the seen and the unseen. The philosophy is truly inclusive as there is no restriction based on caste, creed, color and sex or specie to follow this system.
