Incident Summary The State Operations Center (SOC) activated on 10/23/19 to support Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). The SOC transitioned to a Level 1 activation on 10/26/19 to support Statewide Fires and for the PSPS event conducted by the three major Investor Owned utilities (IOUs) in , Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE) and San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) due to threatening weather events. The Kincade Fire in Northern California is resulting in evacuations, shelter operations, road closures and other significant impacts.

Outlook for Wednesday – Sunday (NWS) Critical fire weather conditions will continue across both Northern and Southern California Wednesday. In Northern California, this event will be weaker than the event that just ended on Monday 10/28, but gusty winds and dry conditions will still lead to noteworthy fire weather concerns. In Southern California, this Wednesday-Thursday (10/30- 31) event is expected to be an extreme one, the strongest Santa Ana of the year so far, with powerful, damaging winds and very low humidity

Winds currently look to drop below critical levels statewide for Friday through the weekend, but humidity levels will remain quite dry. No precipitation is expected through the weekend
