The mini cross-border festival was also an opportunity to join regional forces around various themes discussed in order to develop a cross-border action plan. This action plan is particularly based on the consolidation of already existing ini- tiatives that require expertise and mobilisation of all communities located in this border zone between the Diouloulou arrondissement in Senegal and the Western Region of the Gambia. Community association representatives had the choice to participate in one of the working groups addressing the three following themes: • Concerted management of natural resources • Economic development and free circulation of persons and goods • Culture in support of peace
