CHAPTER DEL PILAR MONTH OF JULY 2019 CHAPTER PRESIDENT MARY KRISTINE A. SEGOVIA CONTACT NUMBERS 09213032288 DATE August 16, 2019 EMAIL ADDRESS [email protected]/ [email protected] SUBMITTED

“ ” It means when you are steeped in little things, you shall safely attempt great things; sometimes translated as, “once you have accomplished small things, you may attempt great ones safely”- Ancient Rome, Manly Knowledge, Travel & Leisure Brett & Kate McKay article

There are things we sometimes disregarded and thought it was just normal routines of our daily lives. Never thought it was maybe a stepping stone, a new skill, a new talent, new personal capacity. Not basically aware that it may sometimes the key to our long awaited success or accomplishment. While many took bravery and determination as their weapon, a daredevil in disguise in doing things out of the ordinary, a risk taker; others simply follow the norms, the usual. No matter how we decided to take things in our lives, at the end of the day a lesson in life must be known stay humble not proud, always be responsible for a more fruitful undertakings and tomorrow.

Most of the chapter members definitely find time every week (now every Monday night) to have their perspiring game a time worth spending with colleagues and family members. It is not just a simple sport but became also a bonding moment.

TRIVIA: Badminton is the world’s fastest racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. The shuttle when smashed around the court travels at speed in excess of 300 km/hour. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side).
