KIHE 2013 FACTS AND FIGURES:

KIHE was held in Almaty for its 20th time. Gross total space – 9000 meters, exposition space – 7800 meters. Number of exhibitors– more than 250 companies from 20 countries. Great Britain, Italy and France participated in the exhibition for the first time. In comparison with KIHE 2012 this year exhibition was increased by 30%, amount of exhibitors was increased by 20%. Traditionally, Kazakhstan companies accounted for almost half of the exhibition – 40% of all exhibitors. Other widely presented companies included Germany (13%), Russia (22%), China (7%), and Czech Republic (5%). Germany and Czech Republic were presented with their national groups at the event.

KIHE 2013 OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY

KIHE 2013 official opening ceremony was held on 15th of May at 12 PM at the main entrance of 11 pavilion. The Exhibition was opened by Yuri Ilyin, Deputy of Mayor of Almaty city, Ayzat Moldagasimova, Almaty City Chairman of the Committee of Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities Control of the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Zhanat Kasymzhanova, Head of Almaty city Management of Health; Vyacheslav Lokshin, President of the International Pharmaceutical Companies Association in Kazakhstan, Gulnara Kurpenova, General Director of Yumgiskor Holding LLP, and Yuri Borodikhin, Chief Executive Director, ITECA LLP; Anastasia Balysheva, Project Manager, Iteca LLP.

“This international healthcare exhibition is a traditional event in Almaty and now it is extremely important for implementing high-quality healthcare reforms in Kazakhstan. The format of KIHE 2013 involving major domestic and foreign manufacturers covers all key trends in healthcare progress,” Yuri Ilyin emphasised in his welcome speech. Ms. Moldagasimova conveyed the greetings from Salidat Kairbekova, Minister of Public Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “The Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan would like to congratulate all the participants and guests with the opening of the 20th Anniversary Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition KIHE- 2013. Over a period of 20 years, the exhibition is the largest international healthcare exhibition by quantity and the most representative one by the composition of participants in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. As a result of continuous and systematic measures taken by President of Republic Of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has been dynamically developed; political, economic and social modernization is being implemented, including that in the public health system. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his Messages pays special attention on an annual basis to the adoption of package of measures aimed at system solutions in the area of medicine. Public health is an area of life support, one of the most important factors of competitiveness and national security of the country. Lately, the industry is on up-grade, its reforming is under way. The State development program of public health of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Salamatty Kazakhstan” for 2011-2015 became the most important stage in the development of the country’s public health. The State program “Salamatty Kazakhstan” sets tasks on introduction of modern methods for public health management, improvement in quality of delivery of medical care, and modernization of education and science before the medical community. Reflecting the dynamic development of domestic medicine and practical public health, the exhibition is an ideal platform for establishing communication linkages between manufacturers and practitioners. The exhibition format enables to see the industry novelties and advanced technologies, and to provide the industry participants with interesting proposals”. The official opening ceremony was also attended by representatives of various public health bodies and diplomatic missions of the exhibiting countries.

An official delegation visited Mobile Hospital presented by Ministry of Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan then paid a visit to stands of the exhibition participants.

KIHE 2013 EXHIBITION

20th Anniversary Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition “KIHE 2013” is the largest Central Asian medical forum which is an indicator of formation and development of the public healthcare system in the region. The exhibition space of KIHE 2013 was presented more than 250 companies from 20 countries. The geographical representation of the exhibitors is impressive and covers the following countries: Austria, , the UK, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, , the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, , Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and South Korea. The total exhibition area was 9000 m². More than 2 300 visitors were registered during first exhibition day and include specialists of the medical industry and allied fields from all regions of Kazakhstan, the CIS and foreign countries. Main exhibitors included manufacturers and distributors of medical equipment. For example, the German National Stand included 42 companies which mainly presented medical equipment. Groups of companies from China, Czech Republic had a broad representation, too. Apart from medical equipment, local firms also presented medicinal agents, various disinfectants, new dental products, etc. Traditionally, Kazakhstan companies accounted for almost half of the exhibition – 40% of all exhibitors. Other widely presented companies included Germany (13%), Russia (22%), China (7%) and Czech Republic (5%). The KIHE Exhibition is the focal point of a three days long programme of events that attract the biggest gathering of healthcare industry professionals in the country. This included seminars, workshops. Presentations of new equipment and various programmes were traditionally held in the seminar room.

The event was unique this year in that it offers an extensive business programme – both at the exhibition itself and with a wide range of professional events taking place alongside it. Business events will take place concurrently in three venues for the first time in KIHE’s history, allowing a record number of masterclasses and seminars – 42 – to be held from 15 to 17 May 2013. These events will present the latest developments, technologies, and treatment and diagnosis methods. Over 5000 healthcare professionals from Kazakhstan and other countries regularly visit KIHE.

Healthcare Week took place in Almaty this year for the first time, adding a range of events to KIHE 2013. The week was opened with the 2nd international congress of the Almaty State Institute of Advanced Medical Education: ‘Health for All: Chronic Illnesses, Solving Problems’.

The IV General Assembly of the National Medical Association is set to be an important international platform for discussing pressing problems in healthcare. It will include the Emergency Medicine through Integration Conference, with government officials and world-famous doctors from Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Denmark, the USA, Turkey and Japan taking part. The General Assembly, took place from 15 to 17 May at the Bakshasaray reception house, included speech by Professor Leonid M. Roshal, Children’s Doctor of the World, Bern Domres, Professor, Doctor, President of Institute of Emergency Medicine (Germany), Yoshitake Yokokura, President of Medical Association (Japan) and Turhan Sofuoglu, Hemogens Farma Medikal among its guests.

Over the 20 years that leading sector companies have presented their equipment at the exhibition, KIHE has become a forum that unites science and technology. This combination of science, presentation of new technology, and deals to sell equipment is the new face of the KIHE exhibition.

Exhibitor numbers have grown by 20% and exhibition space by 30% compared to last year. KIHE is an international event – 60% of all exhibitors are from outside Kazakhstan, with Russia, Germany, China and the Czech Republic having the largest presence. The UK, Italy and France are all newcomer countries, and South Korean companies are playing an active part this year with product presentations taking place throughout the second day of the exhibition in Seminar Room 2.

A wide range of medical products and services will be showcased at the event by a range of companies – from producers, dealers and distributors of medical equipment to laboratory building companies and producers of drugs, disinfectants and other products used in medicine.

Sure enough, main results of KIHE include a new series of medical inventions in Kazakhstan. Many of them were presented at the exhibition, and specialists who visited the event were able to scrutinise them for further use. Leading domestic and international companies showcased the latest developments, know-how and technologies needed by the modern healthcare industry.

Scientific seminars, workshops and companies presentations also were held during exhibition days of KIHE 2013. The exhibition offered a saturated business programme: 42 workshops and presentations were for the first time held concurrently on tree sites in 10th pavilion. Representatives of exhibiting companies presented cutting-edge treatment and diagnostic technologies and methods. Vyacheslav Lokshin, President of the Association of International Representatives of Pharmaceutical Companies in Kazakhstan, said: “Such events offer the shortest distance for new technologies to enter the domestic market as even in the age of Internet it is only within exhibition events that you can see state-of-the-art developments and achievements of medical science with your own eyes”.

KIHE 2013 – Event with the New “Face” !

KIHE 2013, the 20th anniversary Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition, took place from 15 to 17 May 2013 in Pavilions 10 and 11, Atakent Exhibition Centre.

The event was unique this year in that it offers an extensive business programme – both at the exhibition itself and with a wide range of professional events taking place alongside it. Business events took place concurrently in three venues for the first time in KIHE’s history, allowing a record number of master classes and seminars – 42 – was held from 15 to 17 May 2013. These events presented the latest developments, technologies, and treatment and diagnosis methods. Over 5,000 healthcare professionals from Kazakhstan and other countries visited KIHE.

KIHE is the largest healthcare exhibition in Kazakhstan and Central Asia in terms of exhibitor numbers and representation, and this year 250 companies from 20 countries exhibited, including Germany and the Czech Republic taking part from national stands.
