Founded in 1979, The Andrew Glover Youth Program is a community-based organization that provides alternatives to incarceration and crime preven- tion programs to youthful offenders and at-risk youths from the Lower East Side and . Each year we serve over 300 youths.

Over the years, The Glover Program has saved thousands of young lives and millions of taxpayer dollars. 94% of our successful graduates avoid incarceration within the three-year period after their completion of our program while only 20% of all juvenile offenders released from a New York State detention facility are able to avoid re-incarceration in the same period.

Finally, New York State spends up to $265,000 to incarcerate one youth for a year. Compare that to The Glover Program’s expense of just $3,700 per year to save a youth through our 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week, life-changing support.
