Russ Cole has over thirty five years of investigation and inspection experience responding to over 300 fires to review fire behavior and spread, effects of fire on building components related to fire prevention and building construction practices. He was the and Investigator with the City of Woodland and investigated over 100 fires within Yolo County and the City of Woodland. Investigations included fatal and non-fatal fires, fires in buildings, structures, vehicles, and vegetation.

He also supervised three full-time fire inspectors/investigators and five on-call fire investigators. Mr. Cole reviewed and approved all fire inspection and investigation case reports. He has worked as a Fire Investigator with Fire Cause Analysis since 2012 investigating the origin and cause of fires in residential and commercial structures
