COBHAM, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL A t the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of November 1959 Present: THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER 1. (1 ) This order may be cited as the Taumarunui Milk District Order 1959. (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. 2. The Borough of Taumarunui, the Mananui Town District, and part of the Taumarunui County are hereby constituted and declared a milk district with the name of the Taumarunui Milk District; and the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto. 3. The Milk Authority for the said district shall be the Taumarunui Borough Council. 4. The Mananui Town Council and the Taumarunui County Council shall each be entitled to have a representative on the Milk Committee of the Taumarunui Borough Council and from time to time to nominate one person for that purpose. 5. The Taumarunui Borough Council shall from time to time appoint to the Milk Committee of the Borough Council the persons nominated by the Mananui Town Council and the Taumarunui County Council pursuant to clause 4 hereof. 1010 Taumarunui Milk District Order 1959 1959/178

THE TAUMARUNUI MILK DISTRICT ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Stream with the and proceeding up the middle of the Taringamotu Stream to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Ohura South G No.4; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the generally western boundary of Ohura South G 4H; thence southerly generally along that boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of Ohura South G 4J 2B; thence easterly generally along a right line crossing Ohura South G 4H, G 4J 1c, G 4J 1B, and G R J 1A to and along the northern and eastern boundaries of Ohura South G 4J 2B aforesaid, to and along the northern and eastern boundaries of Ohura South G 4L 2B 2B to a point in line with the northern boundary of Ohura South G 4L 1A I; thence continuing easterly along a right line across Ohura South G 4L 2B 3A 2, G 4L 2B 3B 2, G 4L 2B 3B 1, and G 4L 1A 2 to and along the northern boundary of G 4L 1A 1 aforesaid, to its north-eastern comer, along a right line crossing Ohura South G 4L 1B, G 4K 2A, and G 4K 2D to the northernmost comer of Ohura South G 4M 2B and along a right line crossing parts Ohura South G 4K lA, G 4K 1B 1, and G 4K 1B 2 to a point on the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block II, Piopiotea Survey District, distant 300 links from the north-western side of Echolands Road; thence south­ easterly along the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block II, afore­ said, and its production to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence up the middle of the Wanganui River to and up the middle of the Whakapapa River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block IV, Survey District; thence westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of Block IV aforesaid to the southern boundary of Block X, Hunua Survey District; thence westerly generally along the southern boundaries of Blocks X and IX, Hunua Survey District, to" and along the wes~ern boundary of Section 4, Block IX, Hunua Survey District, to the southern side of Te Maire Road; thence due north across Te Maire Road to the southern boundary of Section 7, Block VIII, Hunua Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the generally south-western boundaries of Sections 7, 6, and 5, Block VIII aforesaid, and the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block III, Hunua Survey District, to the easternmost corner of Section 9, Block III aforesaid; thence north-westerly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 2, Block III aforesaid; thence due north across the Wanganui Valley Road to the southern boundary of Section 2, Block III aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along the generally southern boundary of Section 2 aforesaid, and the south-western and western boundaries of Section 4, Block III aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence up the middle of that river to a point due east of the southernmost comer of Ohura South N part 2E Ie in Block II, Piopiotea West Survey District; thence due west to the south-western side of the Tatu-Taumarunui Main Highway; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that highway to and across its junction with an un-named legal road and along the north­ eastern side of that road to Kururau Road; thence generally easterly 1959/178 Taumarunui Milk District Order 1959 1011

SCHEDULE----continued along the generally southern side of Kururau Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Ohura South N 2E 30 20; thence northerly to and along the eastern boundary of the said section to its north­ eastern comer; thence north-westerly along a right line to trig. station Ponga in Block II, Piopiotea West Survey District, and a right line to a point on the north-western boundary of Ohura South N 2E 30 3, Lot II, B 3, distant 20 chains from the - National Park State Highway No. 27; thence north easterly along the last-mentioned bound­ ary to a point distant 10 chains from the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway No. 27; thence northerly along a right line to a point on the north-western boundary of Ohura South N 2E 30 3, Lot II, B 2, distant 7 chains from the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway No. 27; thence north-easterly along the last-mentioned boundary and the north-western boundary of Ohura South N 2E 3c and its production to the middle of the Ongarue River; thence up the middle of that river to the point of commencement. EXPLANATORY NOTE This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This order provides for the constitution of a milk district at Taumarunui, and constitutes the Taumarunui Borough Council as the Milk Authority for the district. The Mananui Town Council and the Taumarunui County Council are each to be entitled to have a representative on the Milk Committee of the Taumarunui Borough Council.
