BILL KATTER Friends of Prescott gratefully remembers Bill Katter, volunteer extraordinaire and member of our Friends Board of Directors. Bill passed away unexpectedly in his home October 19, 2019 shortly after leaving the board to return from his brief, but busy, retirement. Bill and his wife Marty moved to Groton from Harvard, MA to be near his daughter and family. He left his name in the Prescott hallway “volunteer box” and soon could be found in his huge black truck lugging donated furniture, painting classrooms and installing light fixtures. He joined the Board in 2017. His legal background as in-house counsel to various national personnel firms proved invaluable to Friends as we grew. We think of him often and hold him as a model citizen and volunteer… one who provides expertise where needed with humor and humility. We miss you Bill.
