Previous meetings • Both games ended in a 1-0 away win when the teams were paired together in the 2011/12 group stage. Marseille's Lucho González scored the only goal in Piraeus on Matchday 1; Giannis Fetfatzidis did the same for Olympiacos at the Stade Vélodrome when Mathieu Valbuena, now at Olympiacos, played 71 minutes for the French team. However, it was the French side who progressed, finishing second behind Arsenal on ten points – one ahead of Olympiacos. • Marseille also came out on top in the teams' 1994/95 UEFA Cup first round tie, winning 2-1 away and 3-0 at home. Form guide Olympiacos • Olympiacos are in the group stage for the 20th time. In 2019/20 they finished third in their section behind eventual champions Bayern München and Tottenham Hotspur, picking up four points to finish one ahead of Crvena zvezda. • Pedro Martins' side then earned a famous win against Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, progressing on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw (0-1 h, 2-1 a), but came unstuck against another English club in the last 16, losing to Wolves (1-1 h, 0-1 a). • The Piraeus club made it four UEFA Champions League play-off wins from four ties by defeating Cypriot club Omonoia this season (2-0 h, 0-0 a). • Those results stretched Olympiacos's unbeaten run in European qualifying fixtures to 18 matches (W14 D4), home and away, since a 1-0 loss at Hapoel Beer-Sheva in the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round. They had won all seven matches in the UEFA Champions League play-offs before this season's draw at Omonoia. • Champions of Greece for the 45th time in 2019/20 – their first title since 2017 – Olympiacos also lifted the Greek Cup for the 28th time to complete their 18th domestic double. • Olympiacos last faced French opponents in the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League group stage, losing 4-1 at home and 2-1 away against Paris Saint-Germain. That reverse in Piraeus made it five defeats in their last six home games against Ligue 1 clubs. • Three of Olympiacos' first six games against French clubs ended in draws, but none of the last 22 (W8 L14). Marseille • Marseille are making their tenth appearance in the UEFA Champions League group stage, but their first since 2013/14. Three of those previous nine campaigns have extended into the knockout rounds, including the inaugural edition in 1992/93 when OM became the first, and so far only, French side to win the European Cup. • Marseille most recently made the knockout stages in 2011/12, when they reached the quarter-finals. • Seven years ago, OM finished bottom of their group behind Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, losing all six games. • That extended Marseille's losing run in the UEFA Champions League to nine matches. Their last success in the competition was a 1-0 home victory against Internazionale in the 2011/12 round of 16 first leg. • Second in Ligue 1 in 2019/20, Marseille have not taken part in UEFA competition since 2018/19. Then they finished bottom of a UEFA Europa League section also including Eintracht Frankfurt, Lazio and Apollon Limassol with one point having lost five of their six matches.

Milby 2006 ABSTRACT Soccer playing style has not been addressed in detail in the academic literature, as playing style has often been dismissed as the aesthetic element of the game. Brief mention of playing style is considered when discussing national identity and gender. Through a literature research methodology and detailed study of game situations, this dissertation addresses a definitive definition of playing style and details the cultural elements that influence it. A case study analysis of German and Brazilian soccer exemplifies how cultural elements shape, influence, and intersect with playing style. Eight signature elements of playing style are determined: tactics, technique, body image, concept of soccer, values, tradition, ecological and a miscellaneous category. Each of these elements is then extrapolated for Germany and Brazil, setting up a comparative binary. Literature analysis further reinforces this contrasting comparison. Both history of the country and the sport history of the country are necessary determinants when considering style, as style must be historically situated when being discussed in order to avoid stereotypification. Historic time lines of significant German and Brazilian style changes are determined and interpretated.

    2021/2022 Ligue 1 Preview Guide INTRODUCTION After a historically close title race that saw four teams in the running Ligue 1 is back with no small amount of fanfare following a busy summer. Of those four sides, while Lille and Lyon have been relatively quiet as they try to consolidate under new managers, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain have been eager participants in the mercato, buying well in a way that addresses the two sides’ needs. Nice and Rennes have also done some canny business in the offseason, to say nothing of Marseille’s flood of arrivals, but the discussions about pro- spective title favorites in France have to start and end with the capital side. Even as rumors swirl around the potential departure of Kylian Mbappé, it’s hard to argue that Paris Saint-Ger- main haven’t done their utmost to convince their young star to stay. At least, that is, if one judges by their transfer activity. The arrivals of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Achraf Hakimi have bolstered Mauricio Pochettino’s side in key areas whilst also adding another layer of dynamism. If he can keep his squad happy and balanced, this team looks as potent as any in Europe, Elsewhere, Monaco are probably best-equipped to challenge, even as they will have to contend with playing European football. The arrivals of Myron Boadu, Alexander Nübel and Ismail Jakobs look to be upgrades, and so long as Niko Kovac’s exciting, front-foot football remains in place and so do all of its key elements.

Brazilian Publishers (BP) is the project that achieved this goal. Created in 2008 through an agreement between the Brazilian Book Chamber (Câmara Brasileira do Livro - CBL) and Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos – Apex-Brasil), BP has built on the potential of publishers wanting to trade copyright works internationally, regardless of company size. By the way, this is one of the legacies of the project: giving opportunities to small and medium sized publishers, which, if left alone, would have found selling their production in the international market much more difficult. BP has also enabled an interesting interface with larger and renowned publishers. The collective stand of the project in Bologna is the synthesis of this work. 39 publishers divide the 160 square meters space. Some of them are veteran companies, including Melhoramentos, oldest publisher participating in the Bologna Fair, and some publishers had never been to Italy, nor even had participated in any other International Book Fair. This makes Brazilian Publishers proud! It is also gratifying to know that Brazilian literature for children and young people is internationally respected. We have some authors who have been published in several countries for a long time. Now, we can expand this pool of professionals much further. Brazil has been a buyer of copyrights and now it is a seller.
