The USS Minmus was thrown together from parts produced by John The USS Themistocles is another spare parts bash, using Modular Zizolfo's Modular Models, just to see what I could bash together from a Models' Surya Class saucer combined with PNT Models' Franz Joseph pile of random parts. It includes his Masao Class saucer with hangar Dreadnought secondary hull. The center nacelle is mounted using deck; shuttlecraft; PB-32S short nacelles; 2-elevator bridge; megaphasers Modular Models pylons. Nacelles and other detail parts are from the Polar from his roll-bar weapons pod set; and nacelle pylons from an assortment Lights kit pack. JULY AUGUST The USS Raan is a Belknap Class ship as designed by Mastercom Data USS Saipan is the 24th century analog of a modern amphibious assault Center and presented in the book Ships of the Star Fleet. Like the ship - those small carriers that ship jump-jets and helicopters and can spit Montefusco, this is not my own design. This isn't actually even a kitbash, out landing craft. but a resin conversion kit made by Alliance Models. The "saucer" is the hull skirt from the Ertl Star Wars Episode 1 Federation I used a "smoothie" saucer froma first-issue AMT/Ertl Refit model. It was tank. The superstructure is the glacis plate from the tank, and the bridge worth sacrificing something so rare to avoid all that sanding. is from the Ertl Enterprise-C. Also from the C are the nacelles and pylons, I did scratch-build the engine pylons out of laminates of plastic sheet, and the secondary hull. I scraped the phaser strips off a C model too. because I had doubts about the resin pylons sagging. For the nacelles, I Quite a bit of surgery was needed on the aft end of the Enterprise-C used Federation Models' hollow 2-piece LN-68s to further lighten the load. secondary hull to fill in where the nacelles formerly mounted. Inside the hangar is a Federation Models shuttlecraft. Decals are from JTGraphics. Like the Enterprise-C, this is 1/1400 scale

SEPTEMBER OCTOBER One of my very first kitbashes, and still my favorite, the Starship USS The Hedford Class Executive Shuttlecraft is made from AMT's Grand Alliance uses the saucer from Ertl's Enterprise-D kit, and the "AMTronic" concept car model. engine nacelles from two of them. The aftward hull projection was The AMTronic's separable sections were smoothed together, and its constructed of Evergreen plastic sheet, and represents a huge hangar retractable wheel wells sealed over. The nacells pylons are borrowed from deck. Ertl's 1/2500 scale Enterprise-D and inverted. The nacelles themselves are the coolest looking highlighter pens ever, Staedtler Text Surfers. Decals are home made. Landing gear is bashed togather from plastic tube and some Gundam parts. Scale is 1/1400 Decals are home made. The instrument panels are scanned directly from the Deep Space Nine Technical Manual.

NOVEMBER DECEMBER A more literal interpretation of a “Galaxy class Reliant” than the Nebula A Starbase created from several sources. The main body is Pegasus class was, the Broadsword class USS Claymore was made from an Ertl Models’ “Area 51 UFO” model kit. The satellite modules are Pegasus Enterprise-D saucer, and some sheet plastic. The dorsal torpedo pods Models’ “Alpha Centauri UFOs.” Individual docked starships are small are, of course, modified engines from Ertl’s 1/2500 Enterprise-D, and the gaming miniatures first marketed by GameScience in the 1970s and 80s, “deflector pod” is the 1/2500 D’s secondary hull. and are models of Franz Joseph’s designs from the original Star Fleet Technical Manual.
